I've tried many peptide serums, have liked them, but other then being good hydrators I haven't notice any difference. Later I heard Dr Dray and Dr Sam saying there's no enough data on the anti aging claims, and it made sense to me.

I'm really loving the Paula's Choice Peptide Booster. I like to mix it in with the PC Omega serum or the Resist Antioxidant serum, which goes over top of my Vitamin C serum for daytime. You can also mix it in with any face lotion or cream, even your eye cream. It's a very versatile way to incorporate peptides into your skincare routine.

About copper peptide products, i’m on my 2nd tube of Cail by Niod ( rotating at night with my tret & azelaic acid 10% cocktail) and using The Ordinary Buffet with copper peptides in the morning, on 3rd bottle (you should test it, imo its the best Deciem copper pep product) and i’ve seen marked difference on my skin. If i dont use Cail next night after tret, my skin feels more irritated and tender. Also, after using CAIL, my skin texture is better and it tightens the skin. Can cause breakouts on young skin skin (due to squalene) though. The copper buffet has made all my scars (pimples, acne etc) heal much faster and is good for skin texture. So I’m a believer. Thanks for the video!

Great explanation on pepetides and how they work. My very favourite is the peptide in Olay Regenerist Microsculpting Serum. Reasonably priced and it works. My next favourites are Matrixyl 3000 and Matrixyl Synthe6. I have used the copper peptides and I can't say they work particularly well. Just for reference I have just turned 59.

hi Nadine, I’m 50 and NIOD Cais is my favorite serum ever ... every time my skin gets stressed out, it calms it in a few days. I even used to buy it in it’s first formulation, which was extravagantly expensive. I love it so much, I buy 5 bottles every year at the DECIEM november sale ! I’ve never tried the oil one, though.

The NIOD CAIS has been amazing, really strong plumping effect, and after a month my crapey under eye area was nearly perfectly smooth - but I’m such a dummy and tipped the bottle over and I lost half of the serum down the drain 🤦🏼‍♀️ Saving up for a new one, definitely getting the bigger bottle and a pump, will also try the lipid in winter time. 🙌🏻 PS: full effect takes about a month for me.

My biggest problem is understanding what in hell is listed in the ingredients list on the back of products. Some standard ones i can recognise but the other hepi, pepi, xy etc stuff is beyond me!! I find it incredibly confusing and with manufacturers would break it down so we dont need a bloody degree in chemistry to know whats in our moisturizer etc! Great video as always Nadine x

I too would be interested in a powerful body cream to reduce creapiness. I recently lost 25# due to cancer treatment which left my body skin very wrinkled. Part of my treatment is lots of liquids which should help but (not so much). Luckily, my face skin looks nearly unchanged. I think this is the result of using years of high quality skincare. I am 77 now but would still like to plump up my arms and shoulders and calves. Thank you for all you teach us.

You should never use peptides with vitamin C or acids because they break the peptides effects . NEVER unless it is formulated in the serum or cream . The copper peptides helps wounds and skin barrier even more that’s the difference between the regular peptides . If you don’t use peptides properly for sure you won’t see any result . Use your acids and vitamin C in the morning and your peptides at night . You can use peptides with retinol . I don’t agree with her statement regarding the mixing 😖 do your research if your want all the benefits of peptides . After all , when you pay for something , better use it properly right

Love your videos and this is another great one but I noticed that you mention copper peptides with which say you've not had good results and you also mention that peptides can be used with everything so I wonder if you are aware that copper peptides I not supposed to be used with actives such as Vitamin C or retinol? So maybe you're not getting results because you're combining the two and therefore negating the effect of the copper peptides that are fragile and are deactivated by any strong active compound......?

What we know about peptides is that it is hydrating and according to in vitro tests they boost collagen production. No large scientific testing has been done yet on living human so we are not sure that it helps the formation of elastin and collagen.

I’m a huge fan and subscriber of you Nadine, and watched your videos for many years, but this video came on with auto play after watching two other videos about copper peptides. I certainly appreciate and respect your opinion on the copper peptide products you’ve used and tried, but I would love to know if you’ve tried anything and/or change your opinion on them. To answer your question of favorite peptide skincare items, Indeed’s Snoxin serum (now Snoxin II serum) was not only the first peptide serum I used and noticed a difference in my skin instantly, but I still use/buy/utilize today. It’s seems to be more boosting & moisturizing than a basic HA serum, while having soothing and repairing qualities I never experience before this serum (which I think is the peptide/matrixyl complex in the indeed Snoxin formulas.) The other notice standout I’ve tried and noticed a difference with is Olay Regenerists Micro sculpting Cream and regenerating Serum (both in the fragrance free formulas.) they work beautifully both together and separately. I love the frag. Free Olay serum day or night (in the morning I mix with vit. C, even with the myth that you can mix vitamin c with Niacinamide) and the frag. free Olay micro sculpting cream in the evenings. I find they work wonders both together and with other serums/moisturizers. I feel peptides, especially with glycerin, are one of the more underrated skincare ingredients in this beauty obsessed world of ours. Hyaluronic acid should be just in about everything - it shouldn’t be something ad/campaign worth. Active vitamins and peptides and ceramides and chemical exfoliant’s/skin benefiting acids and such should be highlighted and advertised highlighted and advertised like hyaluronic acid seems to be in today’s skin care industry. I did start using these products (without really knowing or realizing) with a chemical acid toner (specifically Pixi’s glow tonic) and noticed an immediate change and improvement and glow in my skin. Also, I have really sensitive skin, so I only started using a specific retinol product or two in the last 6 months. I think it’s both age and formulations and skincare tolerances, along with other factors. Before this, I relied on the above mentioned products and vitamin c and sunscreens, and still do. I still use all the peptide and other products I mentioned above to this day, and consider them staples and holy grails in my skincare routine. I hope this helps, at least a little. I am eager to learn more and try copper peptides myself. Thank you Nadine for all you do and being an honest and reliable skincare source that still tries to be as positive and bring as much happiness and light into the world and industry.

Finally someone who wasn’t bowled over with CAIS! There are so many peptide serums and creams I don’t feel the need to spend a ton of money on them. I’ve been using a peptide cream from DRMTLGY. At this point I’m focusing money on tretinoin, growth factor and MEP technology from Emepelle (haven’t received this product yet). I would love it if you did a video on growth factors and MEP technology.
@kcam3683
@kcam3683 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Becky, I’ve used Emepelle for a few months in addition to the skin care I used already. I was sceptical, it’s very pricey, it took a couple of months but my skin does look even better, it’s subtle but a few people have commented. Unfortunately knocked over a new serum bottle onto my bathroom floor and being glass it smashed 🙄 word of warning! Felt I needed to continue with moisturisers and oil in the morning though. Hope you see a difference too.

Hi Becky, I think growth factor creams/serums may contribute to skin cancers as they increase cell turnover. I believe there was/is a lawsuit involving Allergan for SkinMedica’s skincare with growth factors.
