Nothing has changed, Indians too were talented back then but due to colonisers India was pushed back and left to poverty, but now it's regaining its actual colour.. Showing what Indians are capable of ❤

As per your question at 5:20 min..after we got independence.. many Indians were unemployed but we have skilled members..by seeing this our Indian government took major good steps after independence.. like free education to students.. many government schools were built to give free education to students without money.. due to this we got educated very well.. even my father studied in government school In 1980's and today my father is manager in one of the big company in India...what I mean to say that our government focused on those days is education and even today it's followed and also many steps our government has initiated due to this India is in best position now and it would be in future as well.. am proud to Indian❤😎

The growth of the Indian economy and the turning point in its upwards trajectory, I would say, was laid down in 1991 with the liberalisation, privatisation and globalisation of the markets and opening the economy to a lot more foreign investment. It gave impetus to the industries and investors to go into a competitive market with vigour and earn profits rather than the old Soviet-model which was followed by the previous Congress governments. So the then Prime Minister PV Narsimharao, Finance Minister and future PM Manmohan Singh and industrialist Montek Singh Ahluwalia are to be credited with the success we are seeing today. Of course, the Narendra Modi government has encouraged the "Make in India" initiative over the last 10 yearswhich is driving domestic innovation and production of all kinds of goods and services which is decreasing the international balance of payments, resulting in more domestic jobs and further investment into innovation.

India(Bharat)🇮🇳 has been the most developed and rich country since ancient times but due to Colonisation and looting in the past, India had to face alot of poverty and colonial hangover struggle. But now India is getting closer to taking its spot all over again through hardwork, dedication, commitment and love for nation's progress on every field.

The biggest change is the people have access to cheap education and in most government school children are provided meals (which was incentive for poor kids to go to schools). 1980s - 2000s it was mostly men/males who used this incentive for economic progress., since then it has been all women who are in forefront. Most Indian parents do not care much for spending time in religious activities rather they would want their children to go to schools and get educated. There are millions of examples of poor farmers, drivers, laborers children who have become engineers, doctors, scientists, public officers, armed forces offices, etc

There was no point of change like you think ... When the Brits finally left, they left a broken mess of a nation full of poverty, famine, distrust and hatred among different communities (that they sowed and exaggerated). As for to answer your question, India learnt a lesson with the hellish life with the Brits, they need to protect themselves and they need to be strong and United, and with that idea at the core, everything was a slow and constant progress which India made.

The answer I think lies in our moral superiority (not bragging or shaming) living by spiritual knowledge and non-aggressive nature and bright minds that were the first to develop this, that and the other which other nations stole and gave credit to the own people. As individuals, we are competitive, jealous and not supportive of each other but as a collective, we come together and defend because of our sentimentality and shared trauma of the brutality that were hoisted upon us by centuries of invasions. We were the equivalent of a progressive superpower before centuries of different invasion and colonization where we were captured, raped, pillaged, looted, killed, maimed, our culture and spiritual knowledge hijacked, stolen, destroyed or mocked in favor of the latest invader’s. The queen’s crown has our precious stolen koi-i-noor diamond in it. We were required to fight the wars and provide supplies for the wars in Europe while our people famined and so much more. In 1947 after kicking out the latest colonizer, we were able to quickly build ourselves up to present state in just 76 yrs. While another nation reminds us everyday and build monuments in every part of the earth to their holocaust, our worst holicaust/S remains hidden.

And the other truth about India is that - India has systematically failed to uphold its international legal obligations to ensure the fundamental human rights of Dalits, or so-called untouchables More than 165 million Dalits in India are condemned to a lifetime of abuse simply because of their caste Dalits endure segregation in housing, schools, and access to public services. They are denied access to land, forced to work in degrading conditions, and routinely abused at the hands of the police and upper-caste community members who enjoy the state’s protection. Entrenched discrimination violates Dalits’ rights to education, health, housing, property, freedom of religion, free choice of employment, and equal treatment before the law Dalits also suffer routine violations of their right to life and security of person through state-sponsored or -sanctioned acts of violence, including torture ( source Human rights watch)
