Controversial but "The Unknown" needs to be in EVERY workplace, to blame problems on and and lighten the mood. I work in retail and it would be so nice to just blame problems on a court jester-like figure, instead of arguing with co-workers or calling a manager when customers complain.

1:24:50 THANK YOU Jordan. I don't think you would have discounted that, but so many people forget to SPOTLIGHT the excessive extra hatred and unwarranted appearance criticisms female bodied or presenting people receive simply for daring to exist online (sometimes not even by choice). It's misogyny no matter who is doing it. I would argue that ribbing requires not only a deft hand but also an established relationship. I think that relationship can be parasocial, and maybe we should discuss more ways that people online can set boundaries for community interactions. The "you're online so you consent" narrative is beyond out of control.

On the odd chance that it doesn’t work out (every building has its problems) it’s the promoters job to kill those seats. That’s all just malpractice, honestly, and honestly shocking that they wouldn’t just relocate anyone who complained, seeing as how there were seats available. I immediately stare directly at the ground hoping my husband does not correct this poor well meaning man. Instead he says "Oh, i got this vintage." I ended up in an obstructed practically-behind-the-stage seat just like that at a show recently because they were *not* identified as such on Ticketmaster, and it made it nearly impossible to enjoy the show. Thankfully the staff didn't get on our asses when most of us from that section took moments in the midst of the show to move around and catch our favorite songs in the aisles. But it should not be allowed for those tickets to be sold without informing the customer that's what they're paying for.

I went to the first round of shows last year so I already knew the deal but it'll be fun to go a second time on this second round of shows. Most of the time they were talking about the Wonka thing, I was stuck on the evil chocolate maker. How do you make chocolate in an evil way? Is the chocolate really bad? Does he poison it? Or is it from a very unethical source, like Nestle? Does he just sell people NFTs of chocolate, but they think they're getting actual chocolate? I guess it doesn't say he sells chocolate, maybe he just tells everyone how great his chocolate is, but he eats all of it himself and only sells single jelly beans

i know this was a while ago, but its so fun hearing jarvis talk about fall out boy. also: joe trohman did take a break right before so much for stardust came out but it was for burn out/mental health reasons, i dont remember hearing anything about it being rehab related. it was really sweet when he came back cause i think the first show of tour with him back the crowd started a chant for him :')

I can’t explain this, but I feel like I’m generationally adjacent to the two of you as a 34 year old mom & words will not accurately portray how excited I am to hear you two give your takes about this Wonka situation thing 😂🤣 I’m laughing just thinking about it… and you’re still talking about how much you’re talking! Cheers!

I think some people being mean about the oompa loompa lady thought she was one of the scammers? Like before it came out they were all hired actors that were also scammed, I think she was the only person people online saw that worked the event. I’m not positive but I think that’s what could’ve happened

26:10 this made me look up my tickets to Melanie Martinez at the Toyota Center and im also fully on the side behind the stage 😢 (axs didn't let me pick they gave me a random section) and now I can't sell bc axs doesn't give me the tickets till 3 days before the show. And who in the right mind would buy my shit tickets 3 days before the concert😤

Somehow no matter if sad boyz cover something I care about or something I've never heard of, I'm glued to the screen

I swear the wonka experience is a high school careers class project or something. It was a group of 15 year olds that very much indervalued how much an actor is going to cost, they tried to get some costs saved by making the set themselves, and then it went too far and they had to follow through somehow.

Hahaha! "Heaven, Iowa" was one of my instant faves, but my gf did not get it at alllll until she saw it live in SF last fall(summer? idk).

I tend to listen to the podcast in the background and occasionally switch over to watching for like a 10 minute break. I looked over at 34:45 and nearly gave myself a hart attack because of Jordan's tattoo, it was funny in retrospect, but I was so terrified.

as someone who has a tattoo for infinity on high i did not click this expecting to hear about it on sad boys podcast .. beautiful surprise i had no clue jarvis loved them too

i am just so in this fall out boy conversation. i saw them last year in atlanta and this year in seattle. they're my favorite band and they are SUCH good performers. patrick's voice is insane. just everything jarvis has said i've been like ME TOO !!!!

I just saw Fall Out Boy on Friday!! They were INCREDIBLE. The sheer joy that comes with being an adult and getting to see bands you loved as a teenager is wonderful

loooooved the fall out boy talk, i was at one of the shows that i think was just a couple days before the la show. i had seats that were like. marginally better than the first seats y'all had, but they played so many songs off folie a deux i was so happy

In the UK I’ve managed to never pay above £75 for an arena show (GA) and I’ve been to arenas and stadiums in London, Manchester and Nottingham. I think part of it is stubbornness like I will categorically not pay above that because I know that is an artist hiking up prices but I saw bring me the horizon and Florence and the machine for £45 face value (£60 with fees) in the last year. Imo >100 should be reserved for festivals only and im especially critical if it’s the home country of an artist playing too like you don’t even have high tour costs

Felt your comment about the concerts and knowing the songs changing the energy. I absolutely lose my mind when I know the words but I lose out on the experience if I dont know the words lol.
