This was such a huge moment for the sanctuary and if he couldn't be bothered to treat it with the respect it deserves, or at least act like an adult and not an overgrow middle school student for 5 seconds, then he shouldn't have come. i’m sorry but i’m a newish maya and alveus fan, like i’ve been watching on youtube for a few months now, the vibe was totally amazing during the wolf release and literally as soon as nick was back on stream she was having to argue with him in order to make sure the audience isn’t misinformed. the people in the comments are rightfully criticizing him, just like even maya did after leaving the feed shed. she said something about not wanting him to say anything wild and kinda ruin the moment and her friends said lol he already is and they all just had to laugh it off. they have to be very nice and less critical because they’re literally live-streaming and in the name of the animal sanctuary as well. i can’t wait to see awa and timber in future content but after watching the first hour and a half im just leaving because it’s not enjoyable now that he is making all these weird ‘jokes’ and comments and arguing with everyone they just look like dogs.

I've never heard of the Nick guy before...not the best first impression either. Idk if its his shtick or something but it was just awkward and not the vibe. Im super grateful for the money he helped raise! But I feel like he would have been better off not going on the tour. Edit!! Let me be clear I'm not hating on him. I don't know anything about him. And as long as Maya doesn't feel upset about it, that's what's matters since it was her event. I just, as a viewer, didn't enjoy his jokes and such

@Freshwater121 See I figured. And that's fine if that's his thing and his fans enjoy it but I definitely don't think this situation was the place for it. This is such a big day for not only the sanctuary, but for conservation in general. Any day an animal is given the life it deserves and is going to help further education and awareness is such a big win and it just wasn't the place for his shtick at all in my opinion... No hate to the guy, just feel it was very tone deaf

@@galacticwoozle thats exactly what i was thinking! theres a time and place for the intentionally cringe/obtuse humor and i feel like a celebration of the arrival of wolfdogs at an animal sanctuary just is neither of those. i personally dont watch nmp directly but i've enjoyed his humor in other streams, it just icks me out how he kept popping in to ruin the vibe when things got quiet or when someone else was trying to do/say something

Maya, there is a recorded Tortoise on the Island Vanuatu thats has lived amongst the people of the village for the past 200ish years, 3/4 whole generations of humans fed this Tortoise ^^ also they have SUPER chill Lemurs in that same village :D (ever seen a Lemur ride a tortoise? cuz i have :D)

Im curious how the expectations of the wolves release compares to reality? From what I can tell, you thought they were gonna be quite shy, and might not even leave the cage for a while, but then they trotted out it immediately! Were there any other expectations or assumptions that suprised you?

Gorgeous Wolfdogs and they definitely seem happy enough for their first day 😁 maybe a little more people in the tunnel and the viewing platform should get them used to people being there, at least for when you have guests. I personally would take my lunch break chilling near the animals 😂
