Agreed, *good* Minecraft reviews/critiques a.k.a long form, informative, entertaining, video essay style deep dives that are at least 30 ~ 50 minutes long are FAR too scarce on KZbin and on the internet in general.... And the ones that do exist, mainly Whitelight's critique of Minecraft trilogy, are kinda outdated in some ways... "World depth will never change" "after iron armor there is no more challenge in the game" *1.16 nether laughs* and..... Diamonds will always be the strongest. Need I say more? Whitelight needs to make a new critique on Minecraft after 1.19 releases lol.. But besides that, I'm really glad fudj posted this video too, because it's something I've been wanting for quite a while, and the Video itself, is unique and interesting in its own way, and is just really good overall lol...

I know this video and comment are two years old, but the discrepancy between what the game _encourages_ you to do via its advancement system (raid ancient temples, betray "uneasy alliances," conduct unspeakable experiments on passive mobs, including villagers) and how most people _actually play_ (chilling and vibing with friends in a mostly peaceful setting) is pretty ludonarratively dissonant in my book.

"Gamer Woumb" Minecraft really is the Frankie Muniz of games, that's why i mod the shit out of it. Yeah, my minecraft is currently a zoo. Something that is a bit of a shame about minecraft is that the game never entises you to use every one of it's systems. I recently thinked about a mod that would add smart raids that you could choose to activate in some way, illagers would change equipment and behavior based on how you killed them. I also thinked about a few new enemies that should make more complex building more useful (normally you just need a 2 block high wall to protect you from most enemies). I have 0 coding nor modeling skill, but i'm interested in the later one so... Ps. Why didn't you talk about the fact that Minecraft is in Smash?
