it's fine, sooner or later the world will be so full of these types of people who flaunt themselves that it will become undesirable (it may already be happening). The diamond in the rough so to speak will be those people that pride themselves in being humble, charming, funny and look beyond just beauty.

I don't think she does understand just how absurd it is. I'm not sure anyone does -- except me. I'm the only one who understands that these women don't just need to think about how their own behavior necessarily invites and encourages the exact attention they claim not to want -- frankly, whether these women learn _anything_ isn't _anyone's_ problem. They're your kids or mine. They're not our friends. They're assholes. They dress like assholes and then they turn around and complain like assholes. Amala says men who "sexualize" women are perverts who need to be taken to task. But these women are perverts, too: they can't stop showing their private parts in public! So the reason I say neither Amala nor anyone else gets it is because neither she nor anyone else is ridiculing, shaming, ostracizing, condemning -- all the social things we do to shut down unacceptable behavior -- these women for disrespecting everybody with their clothing only to turn around and act like _they_ are the victims (and worse, publicly humiliate innocent men, thinking of the recent example that surprisingly backfired on the girl).

I think this is similar to having brightly colored hair. My natural hair is black. When I dyed my hair bright colors, I was so uncomfortable with the stares I got (in a conservative country so it is more unusual having bright hair). But eventually I realized that getting that kind of attention COMES WITH having colored hair in a sea of black hair. It simply stands out and people will likely look where the contrast is.

Years ago, I went out with a group of people I knew. One girl, very attractive, in her twenties, was wearing a see-through shirt, her well filled out bra clearly revealed. She got lots of looks as we walked down the city streets. Later, while we were eating lunch, she complained about the attention she'd been getting. I argued with her that what could she expect when what she was wearing literally said, "look at me." She basically said she didn't mind when attractive men looked at her, but the unattractive or much older men shouldn't look. I pointed out the absurdity of her reasoning. My guess is a lot of these women in the gym think the same way.

That just means you're honest to yourself and to others, which is a breath of fresh air. Nobody ever dresses solely for themselves, no matter how much they wish to perceive it that way. It's plain impossible. What clothing makes us feel nice is determined by the associations we have with garments and those in turn are largely determined by how our environment (whether that's our physical social environment or the circles we move in online) views those garments. Our views are *always* heavily influenced by the reality we live in, so doing things for ourselves means doing them for others by proxy. We do not exist in a void and we cannot perceive ourselves in a void.

Men use the excuse that women dress sexy for them to justify cat-calling, unwanted attention, sexual harassment and rape of women. However, there are women fully-clothed who still get raped or assaulted by men. As a woman myself, i dress sexy for a confidence boost or sometimes for attention. But unwanted attention is creepy. There’s nothing wrong with acknowledging a woman is sexy without making her uncomfortable or assaulting her. I go with hair put up but still a little wild, maybe makeup from the day, clothes may or may not match but I dress for the activity I’m doing so I can focus on my form and getting the most of my time. It really doesnt matter what a person wears. My eyes look at hundreds of different things in a minute. It is human nature to observe the world around you. If you took a video of me and looked through every freeze frame, you could find me looking at every single person. Get a clue. They do it because they know when they throw a little music behind it and throw it up on social media for MILLIONS to see it will get the attentions desired. And that is what makes it all the more frustrating and ridiculous. Recording themselves with all the right body parts accented and highlighted to show the world on social media but get pissed, offended and throw a fit because one guy looks their way for 2 seconds. It was great hearing this from a woman's persepctive! I'm a 45 year old retired veteran...so I'm naturally very observant. I am constatly aware of my environment and women like these are why I have completely STOPPED going to any gym. I invested in equipment and weights and converted my garage into a gym at the expense of now having to work on my own vehicles outside. One incident that led me to this decision was when I thought I had found a lost iPhone by a bench. I took it to the front desk. When I got back to my workout, I was interrupted by a very upset and very scantilly dressed young lady. "Have you seen my f*ing phone? Someone stole my f*ing phone!" I asked her where she had left it and if she could describe the case it was in and she confirmed it was the one I turned in to the front desk. I told her what I had done and apologized saying I didn't want anyone to lose such an expensive phone. She thundered away to retrieve it and came back yelling, crying and accusing me of "trying to see her videos and pics of herself she had taken" before I turned it in. It turned out she was trying to record herself doing squats but realized the weights on the bar were too heavy for her and she went in search of smaller plates. She embarassed me and never stopped yelling long enough for me to get a word in edge wise. Another incident was when a half-naked young lady on the abductor machine stopped mid-workout and cursed me for "ruining her shot." I had no idea what she was talking about until she pointed out her phone mounted to a machine opposite side of the walkway aimed at her. Let me reiterate, opposite side of the walkway aimed at her. She screamed that "I have to do this set all over again thanks to you" and how I was "wasting her shoot time." She also accused me of "looking down her top" which was one inch of material away from being a bra anyways, to say nothing of the fact that I'm 5'11" and she was about 5'! I had to look down to see her anyways when she stood close to me yelling and pointing her finger. Again, this young lady didn't pause long enough for me to reply. I could go on about being accused of "ruining someones shot" because of coughing and banging weights too loudly but you get the idea. I decided enough was enough after trying every gym in my area (3 by the way) and having some kind of history repeating itself. I had no intention of winding up on anyone's post as a "combative woman hater" so I didn't argue or give into their confrontational nature...especially nowadays when everyone seems to record and post everything once voices are raised in public. My biggest fear was always if cops had been called and our names were requested, I would instantly be believed to be the bad guy since police don't see your military record, only your criminal one. So now, I work out at home. Thank you for putting this video out. You said what I have been thinking for quite some time. I enjoy your channel...keep up the great work.

They tried to say it was the only way they could keep cool but I called bs on that because we had 250lb+ muscle monster dudes all roided out who were training with full pants and a basic tshirt and sometimes a full on hoodie until they were fully warmed up. The absolute worse clothing for this is those "boy shorts" where the boy of the ass cheeks hang out. Not only because of the amount of skin but because they're literally dragging their sweaty ass across the equipment other people are using. It's straight disrespect, it's the same reason we don't allow guys to workout without shirts on.

When asked what happened, she said that while working out, a male member of the gym walked by, smiled and gave her a nod, then continued on his way. She reacted by shaking her head in annoyance and as she was realizing internally how she just reacted, and was wondering why she reacted that way, she observed that he was standing next to her. He had observed the head shake and returned to tell her that if she and everyone else in the gym take offense every time someone simply offers a friendly acknowledgement of another human being's existence, it's going to become an even colder, lonelier world than it's become already. She agreed with him, saying she had no idea why she reacted that way, then told him to enjoy his workout because she didn't know what else to say. I suggested that she needed to post exactly what she told us. She relied hell no...so the Internet cancel culture army can go ballistic on her? No way. She said it all.

One may not like attires but we have to accept everyone's personal choice. Power is having more options and freedom in life.

I have back injuries. Some years ago, I was at the gym doing some stretches that my Orthopedic specialist gave me. My teenage daughter was right there with me. This woman came up and started stretching right in front of me at an angle that gave me clear views down her shirt. My daughter noticed it too. So, I was doing everything I could NOT to take advantage of the "views." After a while, my wife came to where we were so she could find out if I was finished, or what I had planned next. The woman got this really humbled "Oops" look on her face and quickly disappeared. I don't really know why she wanted my specific attention. I don't consider myself the greatest looking guy around and I was older than her. But she was definitely looking for attention.

And 2 hours later, you're cancelled and your life is ruined. I feel like this goes both ways. It's important for some women to understand that being looked at or taken notice of isn't sexual harassment just because it happens to be done by a man you're not interested in. But at the same time some men need to realise that just because a woman is dressed in sexy clothes and attracts your attention, doesn't mean she's obligated to go out with them/be attracted to them. There's a line between receiving attention and being sexually harassed just as there's a line between trying to look good and flirting/seeking a date. Unfortunately these lines get blurry nowadays.

Me and my daughter (19 at the time) went to the gym a few years ago, when my daughter took off her shirt to work out in her sports bra the manager (female) very nicely asked her to put her shirt back on. I was very appreciative because being it was her first time in a gym she didn't realize the unwanted attention it would draw at the time. But these girls know what their doing, they even film it. That makes it by design.

Still, a 19 year old should really be aware that showing some skin or nice curves is gonna draw the eyes from men. I feel like people these days are more oblivious to their environment than ever. The way you look, dress, move, act, etc is going to be perceived by others around you. This goes for everyone. And by the time they're in their late teens, everyone would normally develop at least some decent awareness of this perception.

@Rebecca Olson I am curious, is there a rule at your gym the same for shirtless guys, that they need to put their shirt on? (I am not having any opinion or trying to argue, just asking). Thak you and have a nice day!

@@janearny I have never seen a man at my gym NOT wearing a shirt. Guys don't need to be shirtless to work out either. Its not necessary. It's still a public place and while I understand that clothing needs to be functional for the activity, it also should be decent enough to wear in public. If they want to be mostly naked they should work out at home.

Working out in a sports bra seems pretty par for the course to me, but then again I’m a b cup so it’s LITERALLY not that big of a deal either 😂
