@@TheArtMentor no no the video was very clear. I just started giggling at the phrase "commit to one direction" because of the band One Direction. I have a silly sense of humor

@duskianfae oh LOL know something funny? I actually recorded a quick segment stating I wasn’t talking about that band, but I ended up cutting it 😂

Um...I think that sometimes, when I can't do something that looks good, I go from digital to pen and paper. Pen and paper makes it easier for me to measure things, and thus I get a better sense of proportions. If I really want it to be digital, then, I can either practice until I get a good enough eye for them that I can do without, or, I can decide to digitize it.

That’s a fun strategy! It can be liberating to switch media and see how it helps, right? So what did you find most helpful in this video?

My list: 1. Improve jellyfish. Always. Accuracy, anatomy, all 2. Subject interaction with environment 3. Conveying tone/emotion
@TheArtMentor

Great list! How are you measuring that success?
@jellyfishicalinc8377

@@TheArtMentor good question! I hadn't thought that far ahead. For the jellyfish- comparing them to reference, for the subject interaction... I do well with lighting but to more specific, I struggle with getting the subject on the correct plane/to the correct scale to match the environment, I'm not sure how to measure that, but maybe referencing movie shots or something? Conveying emotion- just whether or not I look at it and feel something

Hello! I really love your content and they just inspires and guides me as someone interested in starting commissions, I think it would be lovely to also have a guide in payment methods and do's and don'ts in that Like, I heard that paypal isn't really that good and can have errors... what do u think are better methods to get ur payment?
@TheArtMentor
@TheArtMentor Жыл бұрын
Honestly, PayPal is king so long as your artwork doesn't violate their TOS and don't make simple mistakes. Have you used it before? I've been on it for over a decade with zero issues. People that have issues typically have bad practices or set themselves up with poor business decisions. Does that make sense? But hey, whatever you choose for payment, just make sure it's one you enjoy and is easy for customers. How's that sound?

@@TheArtMentorwell that is certainly news for me cause I mostly hear about negative things about paypal maybe there are just some rules and regulations that people don't have knowledge about that they end up making mistakes Thanks for the advice! well, I definitely would love to learn about the bad practices u mentioned, by any chance, if there is already a vid on that on your channel , I would certainly love to check it 😊

HI sean, I will make only one reply this time, I went overboard in the past. I guess... So I realized that I love broken anatomy. Its very unrealistic. Some peoplebon reddit mocked me for liking broken styles...
