epeelife the closing bridge mechanism how it holds up with years of opening and closing?

how is the closing mechanism on the folding ones after tons of opening and closing and im talking about the closing mechanism on the nose .

Fine, actually! Considering it's almost been a year, there has been no trouble at all with the mechanism on the arms or on the nose. I've only tightened the screws at the bridge and arms maybe once some time around December as they got loose over time but that's with any pair of glasses. Besides that, no issues at all.

Firas A haha would have been a good idea but the 649 frames for me weren't the best fit, I needed something ever so slightly wider. The 714s despite being the same lens size are absolutely perfect.

I guess you are right, the 714s are also nice and has greater heritage. I sometimes feel like wearing a particular pair instead of any other. I have a few so its like enjoying them a new every time.

Are the 714’s also 52mm Lenses? The 54mm ones are too big usually huh? Thanks in advance!

That is correct, they are the 52mm version. Because of the slightly wider bridge on the 714s, it fits a little better for me. 54mm on the 649s would probably be a better fit for me. My head is about 6 inches or so across, temple to temple.

THE 714'S BREAK... i have had two pairs... theyre junk as cool as they are... get the 649's if you want glasses that MIGHT hold up... persol is imho no longer persol since theyve been owned by luxotica

I have never heard of the new ownership. When that happened? No wonder when I ask the customer service a question , I dont get a good answer as though they care less or less knowledgeable about their products.

I have several 714s since over 10 years, i‘m wearing them all the time, folding them several times a day. I have never experienced a breakdown ever.

@@MegaAluchi they are very usefull. I wear a suit in my everyday job, droving to clients, showing them a lot outside of the office, so im constantly between wearing sunglasses and not wearing them, folded sunglasses fit perfectly in the small suit pockets inside your jacket, but i do get the point,that for most people folded sunglasses are useless and they should stick wirh the normal 649s or the slimmer 9649s

You can use google to find photos or look through other videos here on KZbin. My advice: go to a store, try them on for yourself. Don't take the opinion of someone else when you could make a better decision for yourself.
