Lost my wife to cancer after 35 years of marriage just last December , before she passed I told her that I wished I never raised my voice to her as it was rarely ever needed. I've also come to realize that not everyone has what we had and for that I am greatful to the Lord - my other advice is to always make big decisions together to avoid resentment , Men will take or make excuses when they do wrong to justify their actions ( I did ) If you still have that loved one hug them everyday and tell them how much you love them always ❤

I agree 100% with you, and I would add one important ingredient needed to have a long fulfilled marriage that seems to be missing today is COMMITMENT. Sometimes that's all you can hang on to when the times get tough and they always do at some point in any marriage. When I get discouraged I remember the amazing Grace that the Lord has always shown me even when I don't deserve it. Thank GOD he doesn't cast us aside when we mess up.

Yes, the longer I am with my wife the easier things get. July 30 my wife and I will be married 45 years. I’m surprised with all the things that I’ve done that she’s kept me around, lol. But the truth be told I’m the one that runs everything around the house. I run the dishwasher I run the vacuum I run the microwave. I run all the important things around the house because she lets me, OK tells me too. If she hast to leave town for any reason and I can’t go with her, I feel the sorrow in my heart and I have a deep desire to be with her. And with her it’s the same God has blessed me with a wonderful life and a wonderful wife he’s taking care of us and guide us. I couldn’t ask for more. Awesome video, thank you very much.

Thank -you so much for mentioning that there are some times when you have to call law enforcement. It is never easy, but it is for the best for the children, and prevents more sin. It is probably the hardest thing a wife/ mother ever does. It gives a chance for true repentance. You can forgive someone and also call the police and stop them from furthering their sin. I am so glad you mentioned these things, because they are more common then people like to think about. Protecting children is a vital part of our serving God.

When my wife and I got married on my father, pull this aside and told us a story that if we take a rope and throw it over the house and we each get on one end of that rope, and we start pulling to try to pull the rope over the house and will battle in pool and tug, but will never get anywhere and then it will stop and both get on the same side of the house. It’s so easy to pull that rope over the house and that’s how a marriage works.
