I Review a 2022 Ford F250 Super Duty with the 6.7 PowerStroke Diesel Engine. I go over the 6.7 powerstroke engine specs and horsepower. I go over the benefits of this 6.7 powerstroke Diesel engine, I talk about the issues this 6.7 diesel engine experiences. Lastly I give my opinion as a heavy Diesel Mechanic if this is a good engine or not.

I hope everyone is having a good week! This week I dive into the world of ford super duty trucks! I get to drive a 2022 f250 with the diesel 6.7 powerstroke.
this powerstroke replaced the poorly built powestroke 6.0 engine and the powerstroke 6.4 diesel engine. both of which were not that reliable. luckily this newer engine is much more reliable. over the years ford has developed a couple different revisions and upgrades on the 6.7. the newest was in 2020 when they gave this engine a monstrous 475 hp and 1050 torques from factory which is insane. this truck is very fast.
they upgraded the pistons and fueling system mainly to get those extra power numbers in 2020.
5 things I like about the 6.7 powerstroke:
Understroke engine. this is great for diesel is allows for very easy production of torque down low in the rpms
reverse flow engine. makes complete sense with a turbo in the center of the v8
Strengh, this 6.7 powerstroke is very strong. the main bearings have 6 bolts in them. better then the duramax and the cummins. the heads have 6 bolts per cylinder again better then the duramax and the cummins. the block was strenghened. just a very strong engine.
elevated idle stock
valvetrain is very reliable.
This engine is not perfect and there are some issues. the biggest issue is that this engine still uses the bosch CP4 fuel pump. this pump is known to fail and when it does it causes massive issues. the second biggest issue has to do the EGR. the egr cooler tends to clog as well as the EGR temp sensors failing.
I would highly recommend that if you are looking for a used powerstroke to stay above the years 2015. there were much more issues with the earlier powerstrokes then the newer ones.
Anyways guys I hope you liked the video!
