I am 63 years old. My right knee has something that the orthopedist calls "osteoarthritis" (very painful). These exercises (I do as much as I can) do me very well. I've spent too much time in front of the screen and I didn't have the strength to stand up. It helped me to do this routine almost every day. Very grateful I send a greeting from Buenos Aires. I've been struggling with my knee replacement for 8 months. She showed me how to stand up. The result is amazing. The pain is reduced, and no more panicking when I sit down. Now if she can help me with stairs I would really be good. Highly recommend

I'm 74 and have had knee replacement surgeries on both knees in the past 5 years. For whatever reason, my range of motion on each knee has decreased so I'm doing PT once a week and exercising at home daily. I'm so thankful I have found your channel - I just did these exercises and they are GREAT! Easy to move but I could really feel those muscles and hips working. Thank you so much, I'm a fan!

My big cousin sent me these exercises a few weeks ago. Im 73yrs old. She was probably fed up with me moaning about pains in my legs and knees. I never done them. Dr refered my for physiotherapy i went today and she gave me couple banded leg lifts. I done them and thought i would try the pilate my cousin sent. So glad i kept them. Well i can honestly say they are fantastic great all over bottom half workout along with the teacher. i wish i would have started them when she 1st sent them. All i can say is Learn Wisdom listen to your elders, and a big Thank you to my Big Cousin and Rachel.❤❤

I’ve been recovering for 3 1/2 months from a tibial plateau fracture and my knee gets wooden and stiff after my pt exercising. It’s a mental game to keep going in my recovery because it so much slower than I would like. I started today with these gentle exercises and it’s lovingly encouraging me towards more movement. Feels so good. I plan to do this daily. Thank you so much, Rachel!❤️ Update: Having done this routine daily for 2 months has allowed me to make great gains in my strength, flexibility and mobility. I’m going to now add the painful knee mat workout that you’ve created, Rachel, and see where that takes me! Eternally grateful.💕

Brilliant, thank you. As a 65 year old woman, have suffered knee joint pain for past 10 years and have been seeing a physiotherapist for past year, as I ended up only being able to walk with the help of a crutch. It’s getting better, but I really needed to find a set of daily exercises to strengthen the muscles to better support the knees. Your exercises are really helpful: clearly explained, perfect rhythm and I can really feel the stretches. Keep up the good work. Thank you for giving me hope so that I can avoid operations on both knees.

Thank you, Rachel. Just had a bad flare up of my osteoarthritic left knee which now joins its right counterpart! All joking aside, I know these gentle but effective exercises will help a lot. I was supposed to have had a replacement of the right one five years ago, but I know exercises like these helped to strengthen the muscles around the knees so that I have managed to avoid surgery with only intermittent flare-ups. So helpful!

did these exercises for 3 months before knee replacement, really helpful. 3 months after I have begun again and they are really strengthening the muscles around my knee. Surprisingly I am able to do them as well as before. Surgeon says it is because my muscles were in good shape before the op. Thank you.

First time exercising today for over a year. I was enjoying running and floor exercises but had so much trouble with my arthritic knees I had to stop. I’m really in limbo now. I want to get back to exercising but I’m worried about damaging my knees. I liked the slow pace of this video. I don’t want to rush and cause injuries. Before this I tried your core exercise video. It was fine for me until you leant on your elbows, so I skipped the end. I think I’ll gain a lot from just the first part without the worry of putting too much weight on my joints. Perhaps I’m being over cautious but I think I’ll go slowly and build up gradually. Thanks so much for the time you give this. I really appreciate it. At 53 I don’t want to stop exercising and age more rapidly than I need to. I’ve looked at lots of videos on KZbin and yours made me feel more confident in the safety and results than the others. I’m going to do the first part of the core exercises video and the whole of the knee exercises video. Thanks again - Wendy x

This generous video helps fill in the missing knee focus and my knee feels challenged but much better even after 1 session! I’m a 64 yr old overweight woman who decided to skip along with her 4yr old granddaughter and pulled the outside ligament in her right knee. I’ve been trying these excellent exercises every day since day 3 and I’m sure they are helping . I’m now on day 12 and have been referred for further assessment and physio. I decided to try the mat one for knees and struggled with some as expected as well as getting down and up off the floor! I would love a standing version with back of the chair for support as I’m sure some other seniors are in between chair and mat! Keep up the great work Rachel as the classes are far better than my crowded gym!

I love all your workouts, that i have tried. i injured my knees, which is what got me started with your workouts, and have had much success with getting stronger. actually, i am not going back to my local yoga classes , because your workouts are so fantastic, and i really love the fact that i can do them while traveling and just at home. no more driving to classes. i can't thank you enough for selection and brilliance , you are the best. love you.

This is so interesting. I'm 28 years old, almost underweight, and trying to build up muscles. After trying this workout, I knew I came to the right place. Thank u millions times I have arthritis and osteoarthritis and ur gentle exercises help me to move my joints without too much strain on my joints Yesterday I did these exercise first time my knees were pain free all day now this is my morning routine u r a great teacher of Pilates for knees and strengthening the muscles around knees just the perfect Pilates can u plz tell me how many times should I do these thanks again 🌷🌷🌷🌷

Even though my arthritis is in my hip I really enjoyed these exercises because I've recently noticed some stiffness in my knees so I'm sure these exercises will help.. You explain everything so well really love following your videos

your hips decipher what pain you have in your knees, if one isnt working right, the other doesn't too

I love these exercises, and find when I do the 10 stands at the end they are easier than the first 8!

Just did this chair workout for knees as I have osteoarthritis. Very good workout as you can go at your own pace. I plan to do this workout most days so by Xmas I can be more mobile.
