FACTORIO and AMERICA come together to bring you the greatest campaign of peace, love, and "democratic" dictators in this world of Factorio. A game about building grand Factories and annihilating insectoid "union workers", it shares some similarities with other games in the genre such as Rimworld. With a few friends, we attempted to achieve the AMERICAN DREAM in Factorio by harnessing the power of FREEDOM (and oil, lots of oil). Join me as we conquer ahem LIBERATE the creatures of this world with a little help from Uncle Sam. I enjoyed making epic solar farms to keep the pollution down, stops the bugs getting too big too quickly. So long as you wall them and stick some turrets outside, they never get touched

Realistically speaking they are actually quite pollution friendly except for those toxic vats you got to store somewhere but that doesn't take up a lot of space or pollute the environment that much, it's just hard to find a good neighbor that wants to store it for you ;)

Trick to dealing with the bugs is to use solar power. Problem with solar power is it just doesn't provide much power per square inch.

FWIW, there is a handy trick to *drastically* increase the usefulness of defenders when you are on foot. As they are always trying to move to a set distance away from you, as long as you are moving, they will follow you. That is handy, but also a problem because that puts YOU between them and the biters. If you move forward in tight circles, their attempts to follow you will have them orbit in large circles. In essence, as you slowly move forward, you can swing them like angry bolos. Great fun.
