So interesting the differences and similarities to downhill ski boot fitting. I ski in a very custom fit 28.5 but sizing down that much in skates would be killer on my feet without dramatic customization. Very euro inspired fits

At first I thought you were skating with beer hahaha. Beer at hand with unity dope hahaha. The other day I drank too much went over a 5 feet quarter pipe, didn't realize that there was nothing to land on top of it and landed on my tail bone behind the ramp on a spot where everyone peed at. I think companies need to publish ACCURATE shell sizing. My feet are 283mm and I skate a Small 909 with EU42-43 Myfit Second Skins which is absolutely perfect. My toes are not cramped at all and I've certainly NEVER stubbed my toes in them. And yet isn't the Small 909 shell "officially" measured at 267mm? It makes no sense, I shouldn't be able to fit in the shell at all let alone the shell with a liner in. When it comes to buying skates I have absolutely no concern as to what UK/US/EU size conversions are, all I need is definitive and accurate measurement of the shell, which I think is the most important part but nobody provides it (at least not accurately).

Super interesting. I just got Intuition V2s to get some extra room in my 909 Larges. The stock THEM V2 Liner was too tight on my 29-29.5cm feet. The Intuitions helped a ton, but it’s definitely a different feeling from how plush liners have gotten over the years. I liken it to a really really well made 90s TRS liner: super thin where you feel the boot (in a good way), but the foam is super supportive. Also reminds me of a road cycling saddle with the hardness. Anyway, great video. I too, am wondering how THEM x Intuitions compare to aftermarket Intuition V2s. Especially how they have these new “.5” sizes on THEM’s site.

is the recommendation for not heat molding specific to the DB liner? Intuition definitely recommend heat molding their v2. they dont say to use an oven, they say to use a sock full of rice heated in microwave.

I'm with you law. I have a the v2 intuition in large and i have a 29CM (11) foot. I was a fool, it fit very comfortably when i bought it. but I thought heat molding would help make it snug up but it shrunk the liner by more than a cm. It took 2 weeks of daily riding to get the toe comfortable and stretched back out. Do you think the large v2 would get into a 9/10 medium 909 shell? The toe sits near where the laces end on my 9-12 sway boot now.

I just ordered intuition v2 liners yesterday. I have Razors Sl3’s size 9.5 and I bought Reign V2 liners in 9.5 and the inside of my right ankle was irritating me and recently it’s gotten to the point that it’s about unbearable with both of my feet uncomfortable. I measured my foot and it’s just under 25 cm so someone at roller warehouse told me that would be a small size intuition liner but my skates are meant for medium so I bought medium. I’ve been skating size 10 skates my previous 3 or 4 pairs so like over 10 years and my current pair at 9.5 so that left me kind of confused as it seems like maybe my skates are too big for me? Idk. I haven’t had issues before I don’t think. Also, are we getting an update on the backyard skate project?

I have 26.5cm foot and I went wirh V2 Intuition size S. It fits perfect. I think medium is too much for 25cm foot

Hmm, it’s tough to get that sizing right. At 25cm you’re probably a small but maybe on the bubble? No backyard progress lately. Been so hot I haven’t had a chance to skate.

If your feet are 3cm smaller than mine then I'd go for XS shell easy. Your SL's must be absolutely massive! That's wild.

25 CM is a US size 7. I'm a 26.5 and wide and I just max out in the small Intuition v2. What concerns me is that you're in a size 9.5 SL3. That shell must be huge on you. It was too big for me even with my wide feet.

Great Videos! Thank you! What Shell size do you recommend for strong 285-287mm? I got M 10-10.5 Danny Beer where it says 28-28.5 cm liner. The shell seems fine but the liner is just way too small. Perhaps L liner would fit better… the next size is 11-11.5 at 29-29.5 cm. I am afraid for those the shell might be too big. I am not sure what to do here with this. Any recommendations?
