It's kinda like how in the matrix you've got people living shiny hollow lives in the simulation, but the real world is cold, dark, and empty. You can be where the people are and pump that digital poison into your head, or you can sit alone in your pod watching the other people around you enthralled by the simulation while you observe the horror of reality from a birds eye view.

Quitting porn was probably the best thing I have ever done. You really see the world differently. Kind of like when you were a kid. When you weren’t afraid of anything and just went for it not attached to an outcome or just having courage in anything really. Deleting social media also saved me from being depressed. I highly recommend everyone to just try these two things for a few months and see how you feel. For those of you wondering how I did it and for some tips, for me it really just came down to wanting to stop and kind of doing some self reflecting. Becoming aware that you may have an addiction and possibly reach out for help if you need it. I really just thought to myself, who do I want to be? Like what kind of husband or father or just person do I want to be? (I’m not a husband or father but I had this thought for when the time comes) I think that really opened my eyes into realizing I’m not who I want to be so I kind of cut things out of my life that I felt like was hurting me essentially. That did include social media. And yes I do see where KZbin can be social media but what I was talking about was like instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, etc. There is a lot of soft porn that makes someone spiral into intrusive thoughts on those platforms. Even on KZbin. I’ve definitely thought about deleting KZbin as the complete detox but I really like self help videos and just as entertainment purposes. I try to block all the things that could potentially trigger some old feelings which I feel like I have successfully done. Lastly, and certainly not least, PRAYER! Not sure where all you guys are at with faith and spirituality but God helped me through those times and I am so thankful Him. Pray to God to be saved and He will! Good luck guys you can do this!:)

I've been having a phone addiction personally, that means YT, porn, anything google, wikipedia etc. Every brainfart I had, I needed to look it up on my phone. Have been using Digital Detox app with some exeptions like my bank app, phone book, etc. It is really great.

I think that's partially due to the average man being disillusioned with how impossible it feels to find love, and thus feeling like there's no point in putting in the effort to be a quality candidate, and the average woman having so many options that they feel no immediate need to be a "quality" partner since they seem to have plenty of opportunities just by existing.

Yea, obviously the world has changed but the fact this video is impacting so many to the level of them sharing their successes is proof enough that it will work. Catch is that patience and discipline are required, all of these things take time. Something the world has lost perception of.

Everyone loves to talk about how unhealthy porn is but nobody seems to wanna talk about the unhealthiness of how every woman today the second they turn 18 sterilizes themselves with birth control and spends their early adulthood having casual sex with dozens and dozens of men, usually men who are much more attractive then they are because men have lower standards for casual sex. As unhealthy as porn is, I think it’s a symptom of lonely men, not the actual issue itself.

I can’t tell you the amount of times women have given me clear signs and I will tell myself “oh you don’t have this this this and this so she’d leave or wouldn’t want you anyway.” So naturally I just ignore the signs. I just work, workout, and keep to myself. I’ve gotten into a routine and stay in it now. Occasionally, I’ll get the “maybe I should just die, if I died in my sleep I probably wouldn’t care, etc.” thoughts at night and feel lonely. I use music and KZbin to essentially block out my brain to the point of exhaustion so I don’t allow myself to think on it. You could say I need help lol. 😂

Dating is going through a reckoning, but I don't know if there's a solution because it's a larger societal problem. The apps have by far become the most popular way to find a date / relationship. But they have become highly dysfunctional for the exact reasons Scott stated. Problem is we can't really go back to the old way of dating because the world has changed. We no longer have the kind of face to face interaction that we used to in a multitude of ways. By and large people don't know how to talk to each other in a random public setting. Also, we have very few "third places" anymore where people can meet where there's no pressure to buy something. It's a bigger problem than we realize, and I think will require long term societal changes to remedy.

Galloway is brilliant and hits the mark with his arguments! Being in the same room with people doesn't mean you're not lonely. Socialibility is crucial. The consequences of Covid after the Covid period are far more damaging to society. This goes far beyond the infection.

ln my brief experience with dating apps, men treated me with more antagonism and flagrant disrespect than I have ever experienced in person. I went in open-minded, curious, and excited, and left emotionally drained, stressed, and pretty angry quite frankly. I think these apps not only attract the jaded, desperate, and lazy, but then turn everyone into heartless monsters who ghost- even after having good conversations. That's probably what surprised me the most, the propensity for men to not make a move and ask for my number/ask me out, and instead conversations dragging on day after day, until one or the other stops responding. Society would be much better without social media, porn, and dating apps. I miss those days.

Thank you for offering your experiences and perspective on this. I think many men like to blame women on dating apps when it's more of an issue with the lack of self-awareness. This is true for women as well, but many people want to play the pity game (oh poor me) when it comes to finding a partner that they fail to realize that they themselves are part of the problem in finding that connection. Pushing boundaries, making offhanded comments, sprinkling misogyny, and just flat out being disrespectful. I don't have sympathy for the people that lack the self-awareness to realize that they make women uncomfortable. Men and women both need to stop blaming others for their own shitty incompetence when it comes to finding a partner.

Before, dating was whoever was in your school or town or somewhere you could meet. Most people got setup or met someone going out with a group of friends. The girl/guy would get to know you, your personality, your sense of humor etc.. There is more to attraction and good relationships, than just physical looks. But now with a dating app, all you have to go on is looks and some stats, like height, income etc.. Of course you are just going to try to get your dream person statistically. Problem is they don't exist and if they do, they have so many men/women begging them for dates, no way they are going to try in any relationship. Glad I grew up in the 80's, life was much better lol.

He's right though. We get pissed off by the feeling that the world is rigged against us, which makes us more open to conspiratorial thinking and the belief that everything is a lie told by those in power. And once you watch one conspiracy video, KZbin/TikTok will show you a million more and send you further and further in that direction. And KZbin doesn't care if those videos are warping your mind. They just care that you watch and they can make another buck off you via ads.

@ being able to speak to women, and listen to them, along with being in shape and average looking at best does wonders. Especially in a big city. It’s not hard to pull girls with dating apps, just don’t be your own worst enemy and weird them out. The amount of stories/screenshots from girls I’ve seen really shows how a lot of guys just don’t know how to interact with women in the first place.

Numbers game. The only issue is, have to remember the girls are also doing the same, so if you’re looking for someone “different”, might not be the girl you’re pulling weekly off of apps as you are just another one of their 1-2 guys being pulled weekly. Not really a Chad if everyone is doing it & willing in high density places like NY. Which is why you’re seeing more young people in NY start meeting people through run clubs or other in person social activities (even church) to try to facilitate a feeling of differentiation instead of the apps.

The biggest issue I am seeing with men is they fabricate who they are online or through a safe channel of porn, it's fine to service yourself through porn, but if you don't realize what it is and it's intention then it's a problem, you need to earn your badge with women in the real world first, if you are good with the ladies first in real life, then you can opt to go online, but if you are hiding to try and edit who you are, you will struggle in many aspects. You cannot live in fear of women or pretend to be some ladies man to protect your own issues, you need to set standards as a man, reject women you don't actually want even just for sex. The more you try the worse it gets, you just need to be and improve things you can by experience and being brave and not putting on a persona caring what your peers think.

Listen to what he says. A man who is rejected over and over typically turns to content that support misogyny. Women treat a guy bad, the guy turns to material that downplays women. When you view this material, a majority of it downgrade scientific view points and turn more towards conspiracy. There aren’t a lot of macho men out there talking about topics like climate change. The fact is though that modern "online dating women" is often just a toxic wasteland. Men are reduced to either their sexual performance to be that "hung XXL fuckboy" and fuck off again, or they are the monetary income as some random "paypig". These seem to be the two major trends things are going. And the "real world dating" isnt much better. I can say that with my 39 years, I have fought for so many women in my life, betrayed none, cared for every single one and yet I always was the one to be either betrayed, or dumped on christmas (actually happened twice by now) and whatnot. I can absolutely say, I have loved, but I was never loved. To me, women are not looking for any kind of emotions , honesty or integrity but only just status and financial gains by now. That is what my experience has haught me. And for such a person, I have no need in my life. I am tired of fighting for a person for over a year, actually feeling and loving, communicating extremely open and honest, just to be told on christmas that she has been dating someone else and I'd only just "drive her crazy anyway" when there was no indicator for that, in vocal or body language. All that just to end up an emotional wreck for years to come and slowly recover while lying in bed crying on a daily basis for months. So sorry but I can not agree on this anymore, modern dating women are not worth the emotions I'd be willed to invest in them. By now, just buying some real doll, not for sex but merely to hold someone in my arms that doesnt hurt me, seems to be a far better options than any women out there.
