Although I have a TM6 I don’t use it to make yoghurt. I use an old Easy Yo insulated flask but my recipe is the same as yours. I use semi skimmed milk and skimmed milk powder which mixes easily and it comes out thick and creamy. I make a batch and then freeze it as large ice cubes. Two cubes weigh 65gm. The yoghurt maker holds 700ml milk,40 gm milk powder and two yoghurt cubes. By freezing the starter I ensure I always use fresh yoghurt. The other advantage is my TM6 is not unavailable for 8 hours ! And I use no power apart from the initial boiling water for the Easy Yo.

Have got my yogurt in fermenting. Can’t wait to see how it turns out. Thank you Collette

Thank you for sharing this process. I currently use an electric yoghurt maker using the same ingredients, so it’s great to see how to do it in the TM6. Love your videos.

Thank you so much for the receipt. It’s the best yoghurt I’ve ever tasted in THERMOMIX, and it’s so easy… I hardly recommend it to my friends here in BARCELONA SPAIN

Thank you so much for your recipe! UHT Milk is unfortunately totally dead, so no option for me. I used instead pasteurized milk without heating it extra and it works the same.

The TM5 has an automated recipe for yogurt: It works for 8hrs. And then you have a beautiful yogurt. Now I'm doing it in the TM6 in exactly the same way except on fermentation mode this time. Because I don't have the serving bowl.

Hello, my tm5 has a automodus ( in belgium) so y let the preparation in my pot and the thermomix does his job simply

I am trying it in our tm6 after getting some courage from watching your video. The only difference is my wife is lactose intolerant so I am using Lactose free UHT milk and bought some Lactose Free Milk powder. Fingers crossed that it turns out alright.

Love your videos and have made many of the recipes you have inspired me to make but last night I followed this recipe and my yogurt didn’t set at all in fact it was as runny after fermentation as it was going in, any ideas as to why this happened as I love the idea of this yogurt without all the heating up, cooling down business

Gosh really not sure, there could be so many reasons. I would have a read of my blog notes and def try again. I have had a few people say its not worked but thousands that love it. I make it every week, collettesthermiekitchen.com.

I have the Thermie bowl and a TM6 but the lid of the varoma does not fit properly when I put it in. Do you think that matters. Yours seems to fit fine. I’m in the UK 🇬🇧.

Thanks for showing how easy it is. Do I have to put sweetener in? I wouldn't normally buy sweetened yogurt.
@CollettesThermieKitchen2 жыл бұрын
The vanilla adds a nice sweetness but you can substitute for a couple of tablespoons of honey or 20 - 40g sugar. Enjoy x
@jeniferwinterbine Жыл бұрын
When I make it I don’t put any sweetener of any sort, and it works brilliantly.

seems like Tupperware show always trying to sell you something. PS get a bowl that fits. You do not need their products. BTW how much is this yogurt costing? $2500 for the machine and interest.

If I want the yoghurt to be fermented at 40 deg Celcius, what temperature should I set in the fermentation mode? It seems too long for the milk to reach a temperature of 40C. Could you please share your experiences?
