I believe the concept behind Willy’s Wonderland is that it is supposed to be like a video game where Nick Cage is the classic silent protagonist. Even the opening credits are done with a 8-bit looking font. This is also why he fights one enemy at a time. The kids and adults are just the NPCs there to give exposition and move the story forward.

I liked the Nicholas Cage one, I think it supposed to be “so bad that it’s actually good” situation. His personage cleaning diligently as he promised (even knowing it’s a setup) and then drinking that drink and playing (was it pinball?) in his free time was hilarious he didn’t care if people were being murdered by animatronics or not, his free time he is going to have his energy drink. Him not having one single line somehow works I think that if he has any dialogue it wouldn’t have been funny just bad.

The thing with the banana splits is that they were never animationics, they were always guys in suits While fnaf, they've always been animatronics and there's been some AMAZING costumes that look incredibly convincing that gives me hope for the practical effects in fnaf

I think it really depends on which aspect of horror they're trying to milk, and I'm willing to bet there won't be much in the way of blood or a body count in the FNaF movie. It'll probably lean more heavily into the "sinister" aspects of its lore and the origins of the animatronics, rather than the animatronics themselves, but we'll see 🤷

To be fair, Banana splits was a real life kids show in the 70's it wasnt half bad, at least when I was younger. It was kinda like a Key & Peele kind of show. They'd come out to a live crowd of kids, play skits and short cartoons.

I remember watching the actual Banana Splits show as a kid; it used to come on on Boomerang and it was just like old slapstick humor stuff. Never really found them scary though so its a bit odd they would try to spin it off as a Fnaf thing

You sure you're actually a horror fan?, Willy's Wonderland is an instant classic. Used to watch The Banana Splits in the 70's and 80's. Richard Donner did the first season. Surprised you haven't heard of them considering FNAF is obviously heavily inspired by them.

Yeah willys wonderland is exactly what its supposed to be, which makes it perfect. I have heard that the ending of WW connects pretty well with Mandy, another Nick cage film and his girl sidekick. I have not yet seen it myself however, but it sounds pretty darn nice tbh.

Willy's Wonderland is genuinely one of my favorite movies. It's a parody of horror in all the right ways, my favorite being that the main character is just a guy that beats the absolute ass off a gang of supernatural creatures. Similar vibe to Jack Brooks: Monster Slayer.

The Banana Splits Movie is based on the 60s Hanna-Barbera show of a similar name, and the movie was originally gonna be FNAF, but Warner Brothers lost the rights, so they picked the banana splits instead.
@epicmaster46 Жыл бұрын
Actually Scott (creator of FNAF) and Blumhouse are working with actual animatronic engineers to make the FNAF robots as true to life as is reasonable, so I’m hopeful the movie will feel more grounded than these. The Banana Splits were actually an old Cartoon Network/Boomerang show from like the 70s, so that’s the equivalent of the Whinnie the Pooh horror movie 🤣 Willy’s Wonderland is a so bad it’s good movie for me, absolutely love that one.

I did check out the cast of the fnaf movie and was shocked to see Willem Dafoe on the list. Probably cast to be The Purple Guy or someone else, gives me hope that they added a good actor, but I really hope they stick to the lore of the characters respectfully. But God knows that the timeline will be wacky, fnaf is a Rollercoaster when it comes from the different time periods of the games. Hope the movie goes well and hopefully see more in the future

I hope that the fnaf movie will capture the *spirit* of fnaf more so than these movies. These movies are like slashers or gore fests but with animatronics, they don’t capture that feeling of anxiety that comes when it’s just you, in a tiny room, alone. The animatronics are just ever so slowly creeping up to you, slowly but surely, and all you can do is hope that your limited power and battery can keep them at bay before the end of the night. Rather than an in-your-face blood and gore horror movie, I think the fnaf movie would really benefit more as a slow-burn, psychological horror movie
