The thing with the Bélmez faces was poorly explained in the post Danny found. It's not like the mayor one day came out of nowhere. The faces started appearing and the people in the house thought it was weird and cleaned them, but they kept on appearing. It creeped the owners of the house to the point the husband broke the floor, yes. But the whole thing with the mayor happened after a bunch of paranormal investigators went to the house and some newspapers covered the story. When the it blew up to the point all of Spain was going nuts about it, the mayor decided to order for the floor to be tested. I seem to recall that there was also a plot to attract tourism to the town involved and it ended up been proven that the faces were fake and made with some chemical. Like, the first faces were just a coincidence, but when they found it could be profitable they just made more. This is actually a huge urban legend in Spain. Not really creepy, but it is an interesting story.

There isn't a presidential election scheduled for 2082 anyway, unless the election system changes between now and then. That said, considering the conspiracy indicates the person will be the 56th president that also means that there are 12 presidents between now and then (including Trump and assuming no assassinations or other extenuating circumstances). Doing the math, that only allows for 4 two-term presidents between the current year and then. That's 8 one term presidents (a heck of a lot considering most in history have gotten two terms). Maybe we'll get lucky and Trump will be one of them, lol. Also, maybe we should be worried, haha. Why tell us only that one thing? That beach thing is actually true. Or, well I'm not exactly sure where it happened but beach HAS been stolen more than once in recent years. Sand is becoming an increasingly rare and expensive resource because we need so much for cement and glass and are taking out way more than nature can replenish right now. So, as silly as it sounds, there are now criminal organizations that are literally stealing sand en masse and it's both destroying ecosystems AND is bad for the affected countries' economies. It's basically a sand mafia. So while you may think it sounds silly that someone could go to prison for "stealing a beach", it's actually a pretty major crime.
