@@snappy452 its absolute insanity, the thing snaps ridiculously fast on throttle imput, seems to not have too much downforce since it does wheelies at 250km/h, if you touch the grass you are gone to a different country on a metal and carbon coffin, etc. This is an absurd level of skill that probably not many pepole have. I just learned about that myself. I've been doing that for years, didn't realize it was a thing. Driving powerful cars on old tires (I've helped build more than I've owned, they get tires after we're done with them), it's just natural.

As someone who's only had a light dabble in sim racing, this looks SO hard. way harder than the X2010. you got an h-pattern and clutch, not enough downforce, not enough tyres, huge turbo lag, extremely challenging circuit. I guess such a wealth of experience on this track really helps, and of course experience experience. Very impressive drive (eventually :p ) edit: getting to the end of the video, jimmy also says it was probably harder than the X2010. Serious respect.

I mean, as a ballpark figure, you’d need a car with 5.2 Decillion lb-ft of torque to bring the earth from a standstill to its current rotational speed in 1 second. So even if you had 2 Billion cars all with 5,000 lb-ft of torque each all driving in the same direction non stop and getting grip somehow, that’s effectively 10 trillion lb-ft of torque a second. That means it would take those cars 5.2x10^20 seconds or 16,489,100,000,000 years or 16.5 trillion years to bring the earth from a standstill to its current rotational speed. That’s 3,629 times longer than the earth has been a thing. And this is VERY ballparked here. Sorry, just the saying of fast cars don’t go fast they make the earth spin underneath them has just always bothered me lol

"I'm like my own traction control" I just watched a video about Senna recently and that's pretty much what he did with the gas peddel when he would accelerate. He would rapidly smash the peddle out of corners keeping the turbo spooled and getting more power and pitching the weight of the car where he wanted it our of corners. I noticed you started doing that right away and was about to refer to Senna's technique and you pretty much said it as I was going to type it.

Had a hard week and this was just what I needed after this day to make it a bit better . Formula video + listening to the music I like (Delta Parole, Metallica and other) make me feel the speed and excitement!

I love this part of gaming. I wish I could edit text files in iRacing (offline/Ai) to change car, track, and atmospheric attributes. Makes for hours of fun.

I have an idea for a thing you could do Jimmy: RNG does your setup! For every option in the setup menu with numbers, you make an RNG pick which number your setup for that option should be... Even in GT Sport this can make cars that otherwise drive fantastic, drive like the front isn't connected to the rear...

Doing a great Senna impression with the pedal work, little stabs of the throttle to get it through/out the corners.

A lot of skill involved in that lap. Never heard you say so little on a lap:P Well done Jimmy.

I was inspired by your videos to find a way to virtually hotlap the Nordschleife. I couldn't quite justify buying Automobilista or Assetto Corsa at this time since I barely use the games I already own. But I did find a version of the Nordschleife for Raceroom for only 8 bux, and their Formula Raceroom car is only 3 bux. It's a pretty fun combo even though I suck. One reason I might wind up buying Assetto Corsa is because there's a historic version of the Sudschleife available. Getting a chance to drive long forgotten ghost tracks is quite a selling point.

I love the turbo lag, anything below 10k is almost reasonable and then it just goes *AAAAAAAAAAAAAA*
