Love this! We checked out Elijah’s a few weeks ago, and not sure if we just went at the wrong time (it was close to the end of day) but it just didn’t have the magic we were expecting. Read some other reviews, and heard ordering well done might get better results. Fries were great though 👌 great vid sir!

perhaps, I thought the burger patty itself was fine as is - the flame grilled taste did come through for me - but the rest is perhaps not unique enough to stand out in a sea of many great burger spots in Toronto. Eh, if you do pass by and try it again sometime I hope it turns out better. Thanks for watching!

Great content Clark! I am one of the few people who has not been caught up in the smash burger trend. How refreshing that I can actually find a flame broiled burger again! Beef tallow fries? I am so going to this place. I hope they open an East End location as I live near the OG Burger Priest location.

There are tons of good burgers in the city for every mood. You can't expect every burger to fit under "the best burger I've ever had" category and those that don't can still be worth trying. FYI burgers and dining in general is very individual.

I'm guessing that first burger and fries (not including drink) is easily over $20 after tax. That burger bun is sad looking, and I can't spot any toppings. Disappointed to see two beef patties being used instead of one homemade thick patty. And that portion of fries looks anemic. Not impressed. This is why I don't frequent burger places (HERO Burger being the worst value for money) and prefer fixing up my own grilled burger at home with lean ground beef and assorted veggies.

Liar??!! He said "fries" so if you want to say I misunderstood that's fair but Liar?. Yes the chili cheese fries are $8 so combined with the burger, it's over $20. Being specific is a thing, reading comprehension is a thing. I'd also say that it's on par with what most burger joints are pricing their double burgers and fries with toppings so from a value standpoint, it's a fair deal.

I tried it 3 weeks back the classic with fries... over priced. The burger per se doesn’t have the charbroil taste. I preferred the smash burger from burger priest on the Queensway when they first opened. The Fries... i had fries multiple times fried in beef fat (tallow) and this is not it... maybe a few tablespoons of tallow mixed with the regular vegetable oil from costco. For $4.50 its a joke. Went back today with the wife for her first tasting... i was first customer in, ordered 2 cheese classic and a pop. Over $30 taxes included. The burger was sad... i thought for a second it was at McDonald's with patties the size of cardboard... dry like hell... just like the Burgers priest when they bought the crappy broiler they installed on top of the griddle. Bland, bland, bland, not even cheap table salt to boost the flavor. Now, im not blaming the I Get Food guy... hes just repeating what they told him... but aged Ribeye? That must be the same ribeye they used in Philly for the cheesesteaks 😂 the ribeye that comes from the rump. That burger we saw in this bideo looked pretty good... nothing to do with the crap we got today. We all know when it's for testing it in a youtube video they get the deluxe special... the rest of us get the crap. Anyway it was a short lived hype that didn’t last more than a meal. Now that the wife got a reality check, we can move on.

sorry you didn't have the best experience. Mine did have the charbroiled and beefy taste. Certainly not compared to say the Aloette burger or the Richmond Station one but I did get that beefy taste that wouldn't get at many of the chain restaurant spots. As for whether I got special treatment, while I can't guarantee I know what went down in the kitchen (line of sight into the kitchen is closed off from the front counter) I can say that the video shoot was not pre-planned and I didn't tell them I was coming. I rocked up, placed my order and only then broke out the camera to start recording my experience. If they did pivot, then they did so at light speed. All the same, it's a shame you didn't love it but this stuff is subjective. I hope your next burger experience takes you to the moon!

@IGetFood I recommend checking out Mama’s Boys Burgers in Scarborough. Make sure to get it with mama’s sauce. Chicken souvlaki on a pita there is delicious too.
