I studied medicine for a couple of years not long ago. Doctors here (Denmark) get diet stuff (among several other subjects) for half a semester and it's painfully basic and outdated, so if you want advice on diets you should ask someone else then your doctor. It was just the outdated typical food pyramid hoopla. I was even told coconut oil is unhealthy because muh saturated fat nonsense. Linoleic acid (seed oils) is basically the real cause of atherosclerosis. Check pubmed for studies, also on dark chocolate benefits while you're at it.

See the Korean Cholesterol Mortality Chart if you want to see how dangerous low cholesterol really is. Over 12 million subjects. @@Drberg I have an idea for a video you could do, which might help me a little. I put witch hazel on my biceps, triceps and shoulders every morning after doing resistance training the night before. As I get leaner and re-add more attractive muscle, I do this to help restore my stretch marks over time, along with the natural apoptosis and autophagy from fasting. The witch hazel doesn't appear to be harmful in any way, if I look at the ingredients, but it got me thinking about the cream I also put on after the witch hazel is absorbed, which has the active ingredients of camphor, menthol and methyl salicylate. I'm obviously trying to think more about what I put into and onto my body and wondered if you had a suggestion for a more healthful balm for the same and/or similar purpose(s.) Of course, as I cross over 55 years old, I do get plenty of nutritional support, as well, but that may be something you wish to cover (in covering the whole topic of restoring youthful skin around muscles and where fat has been lost.)

Most of the cardiovascular damage that happens to diabetics is from insulin, not blood sugar. This is why studies that followed diabetics with tight blood sugar management did not find that they had better longevity than those with poor blood sugar management. The difference is only that they avoided some nephropathy, retinopathy, and damage to limbs. I discuss diabetes a lot on my channel.

Does elevated insulin and elevated blood sugar not go hand in hand?
@LeoandLongevity4 жыл бұрын
@@bicylindrico Interestingly, no. Usually, for the first few years of the disease state, blood sugar does not rise. The people are characterized by hyperinsulinemia, where the insulin is so overexpressed (and the body is not yet insulin resistant) that blood sugars don't rise. You can usually only tell if you are in the hyperinsulinemic phase of pre-diabetes with an oral glucose tolerance test that also measures insulin. you should be checking your IR (insulin resistance) not so much your glucose

Sugar is what causes binge eating BECAUSE im literally experiencing it as i type this, im on keto, found organic 75% cacao chocolate bar wwith 24g sugar ate like 70% of it then i started wanting to eat something else so i cooked soup made bacon , fried eggs, ate a bunch of frozen berries, like i wasnt even hungry all i did was eat chocolate bar and now i wanna eat everything in the fridge. Good thing i just finished working out and only ate 40g net carbs today so not as bad. TLDR : sugar causes u to binge eat

18 and kept up keto for a month now, big plain burgers plus lots of leafy greens are super tasty and give me enough satisfaction! No sweet tooth at all :) Not doing it for weight loss (no calorie deficit) but for a longterm lifestyle. Carbs are everywhere and peoples big mouths telling you what to do, I find it better to carve my own path and discover things for myself.

But im just skeptical on how glycogen works, could sugar made from the body be sufficient to build muscle?

So: i advise everybody to get knowledge a out sugar till yu can STOP eating it .. yu will be glad yu stopped sugar

Which fruits and veggies are best? Since, which fruits and veggies should be avoided to prevent these issues?

The only fruits with low fructose content are kiwi and lime/lemons. Berries are worth the sugar, though.

All of the fruits are good for you, unless you are doing keto. In that case, yeah just stick to berries!
