Oh Dave. I love your keto recipes. I used to make nuts and bolts yrs ago before keto. I would make enough for a huge styrofoam cooler .. and all into gallon jars when kids had their fill that evening. Your recipe looks amazing. So I made this today… Used some things I had on hand so I had more cheese crisps than the recipe called for but I did not have the protein chips. I also added a couple of different nuts than it called for. However, this. is. so. delicious!! I think next time I will add more pork rinds because those are my favorite thing in the mix. They almost have the same texture as the Chex cereal when you bite into them. Thanks a lot for the inspiration for this recipe…

It sounds very good. But my concern over carbs is the amount of salt used. It looked like everything that was added already had salt. And then by adding the seasoned salt. I would add more of the other seasonings before that. After all, that's what seasoned salt is.

The Lawry’s may have been omitted because the 2nd ingredient is sugar and the 5th ingredient is corn starch. The amount of each is probably minimal, but for someone who is trying to eat clean keto, I would say to leave the Lawry’s out and potentially the quest chips and almond flour crackers… I would check those ingredients before adding. If the ingredients aren’t clean, it would be a little more work, but you could make your own chips and crackers using cleaner ingredients.

Great idea for Keto Chex Mix! Love your sense of humor in your videos!! It would be really expensive to make a large family sized batch of this. So I would go really heavy on the pork rinds and make some homemade keto crackers and some homemade low carb pretzels. Then I would add a minimal amount of various chopped nuts and maybe a few cups of Keto cereal. Yeah, I am a cheapskate. 😂

Dave, this is great! Idk if you realize it, but you basically made your own Seasoned salt with all those spices. This is probably double the price of making chex mix but that's the price we pay. you can make your own cheese crisps. Many Blessings to you!

I look at it as an investment in myself. I also wouldn’t use so much processed food. It’s easy to make cheese crackers and you can use different types of cheeses to give it variety. Pork rinds are pretty affordable. If you’re only having this as a special treat then it’s not much different from other holiday food.

I made a keto Chex mix not to long ago and used the original version but homemade. I used that same season salt and between that and the Worcestershire sauce it was oddly sweet and the salt was terrible. I don’t know how else I would have done it. Wonder if other brands season salt contain other spices?
