Retention isn’t everything - look for higher view counts after a month and other metrics. Concept is that the vid is more usable :p

Hullbreaker Horror does serve the late game purpose of becoming a bowmaster or one ring finisher like in Talion. However, it's also a decent double crime opportunist. An opponent casts a spell, you respond with your own answer & then hullbreaker will trigger if you cast a spell to do so allowing for an additional crime to be committed. 2 for 1. Just some additive value if you can get him out & pay for such a thing. Which is pretty easily done mid game in that form of grixis control.

Yea Ian, the lack of back up or even hard outlet throws me off in those Niv decks too. I played the deck for a while and I found just a Glinthorn bucaneer was enough to make me feel like my bases were covered. It can win the game w a curiosity if you don’t have access to Niv and you can just drop Buc into play to have a clean kill after you go off w Niv Mizzet. It’s not free exactly. But it’s one single bad card and it does synergize so well and clean the deck up so much I would, personally, not play Niv without it

You need a sac outlet for the Mikaues + Walking Balista to run, and it makes it more fragile i think... I do like the idea or running Rakdos as a CEDH, its my fave commander of all time but I only play it casual.

As an Atraxa main these videos over the last 10 months have really been a hard pill to swallow. On one hand its my favorite card but on the other im loosing so many games in current format that i almost feel like i should just move to kinnan. IDK maybe somthing will come along and make the deck great again but as of right now with all the value of these lower cost commanders it deff feels harder to compete.

Nado and I have been two of the biggest performers with Atraxa for in person events on the east coast. We both lived and breathed Atraxa. Now we are both on the farm. It is sad to say, but dockside and breach just perform leagues over Atraxa is trying to do in the early game. Mana dorks arnt the most proactive things to be doing when high-level players are threatening wins much sooner.

I played Atraxa a lot and i switched to kenrith because you can do the same kind of deck but your get the red cards. You can ever play her in the 99 as a reanimate target

When you say fascinating and interesting do you mean that you can't understand why certain cards aren't in the deck and it's a bad deck?? LOL
