THIS TANK AIMS ITS SELF - IKV 91 in War Thunder - OddBawZ

The Swedish IKV 91 in War Thunder is the lowest BR tank in War Thunder that has a laser range finder. What that means in War Thunder Red Skies is that the rangefinder sets your scope for you!
The IKV 91 is already subject to controversy with its 400mm of penetration at only 6.7! This light tank is fast, has great gun elevation angles and can scout as well as drop artillery.
With the addition of the laser range finder, this tank was already superb at mid-long range engagements. However, with the new feature of the range finder setting the scope for you... it takes the time out of the equation of you setting the distance yourself. Very skilful! :)
The Swedish IKV 91 is one of the best light tanks in War Thunder for its BR!

to be fair the game wants to be realistic and this is how it is is in every modern tank. i dont really see the damage as with apfsds you barely need to range at all with how little drop they have. just buffs some specific t5 heatfs only tanks

This has been a feature for years in sim. Although it does need to be enabled for every tank. If I range and enemy and call it out to my gunner he should set the range lol

@DAS ist gut Well gaijin did add 11.0 BR into the game and it's made 9.7 a bit more bearable, maybe they'll add up to 15.0 to take some weight off of the ww2 tankers/pilots, heres hoping for more BR decompression!

@@OddBawZ I had the same thing happen to me a while back with skype. I was doing a counter strike team tournament to win the sweet grand prize of £50. Saw an enemy pop out of cover and as soon as he did game minimized because my mate called me on skype. After the tourney ended I went straight to pc world to grab the cheapest monitor they had. Still have it to this day as my 2nd monitor, never had that kinda issue again lol.

Its even better when you shoot in binocular mode (hold LMB + Shift to. fire). It allows you to shoot while behind hills where the enemy cant even see you. With this particular tank at 6.7 it's pretty insane what you can do since its a pretty accurate low pressure gun (high arc).

Yeah it should have stayed at 7.3. I have no idea why they decided it was a good idea to move it down to 6.7. And now it's the only 6.7 tank for sweden so you gotta play it at 7.3 anyway if you want decent lineup (or 7.0 with the Ush 405, which also should be moved up to 7.3 or even 7.7)

I remember playing the IKV-91, even with its repair cost and tissue paper instead of armour, i quickly concluded it was pretty much one of the most OP tanks in the game. I loved it, not only do you have the LR, but also HEAT-FS. Not played it in a while though, im pretty sure it was nerfed soon after i finished playing it.

Concept 3 is 4.7 with a LRF now, Leo 1 has an optical range finder same with the most of the US tanks with the bulbous looking things sticking out of the turret

Buick tank can actually aim itself is the t90 if it's late the turret will turn to the Target then you laser range fine then fire and then it literally actually completely 100% aims itself
