Still looking good. Now that I am older - a two wheeler not so appealing, these days, 3 wheels for my winter riding needed - also liking the thoughts of something with more sheltered. Love the way the Electrum maneuvers. Maybe I need it for 3 seasons and a trike for winter😁 Your daughter sprouted like a weed - they grow up so fast - mine now 18 and 20 - where did the time go. All the best.

Thanks Patrick, If you can justify a three season Electrom let me know and I'll build you one.

@Bea King Hahaha, yes, that would be an apt name for this type of vehicle, however, we have found that there are some in the un-powered velomobile set that guard the term Velomobile quite aggressively.

Very nice. I need that here in Hawaii to do my UberEat deliveries. 👍

In fact, if you add hard fixation to a trunk hinge at the back of you trunk hatch (probably need 2 hinges for reliability), you dont have to leave it behind, it will just serve as a back cover for you pasenger.

Can it go with padel alone? Without any electrical assistance?
@electrom_LEV3 жыл бұрын
it can, but pedal-only is not the preferred method. The Electrom was designed form the ground up to be an electric and pedal vehicle so is quite heavy and cumbersome without electric assist.

Try change the cover of the box to the passenger back support..
@glenswada3 жыл бұрын
When looking at the design it hadn't escaped my attention that there is no-where to put the cover if you pick up passengers away from home. Your suggestion turns that obstacle into a benefit. Very clever.
@electrom_LEV3 жыл бұрын
Yes, we did consider that, but it makes getting on and off the back quite difficult, and it presents some problems when it comes to the passenger getting away from the bike in the event of a crash. If you think about it a bit, in order to pick up a passenger you would need a helmet for them, in which case you would plan ahead and bring a helmet while leaving the hatch cover at home. In the 7 years of riding the prototypes and production sample I have only once encountered a situation where a potential passenger had their own helmet and I couldn't take them because of the hatch.

I checked out their website, but could find no hint of a price, which for me is the kiss of death for any product. If the marketing department is hiding the price that usually means the product is grossly over-priced, no matter how attractive it might otherwise be. And I say that because over the years I've pushed hard enough to get a real price - often by calling the company directly - on many interesting products and almost invariably hidden price is tantamount to high price. So, I no longer bother even reading all the specs in such cases, much less writing a check.

Hi DJ, We don't list a price on our website because it is constantly changing. If we listed a price, it would become cemented in peoples minds as "The Price" and would be quoted long after the price had changed. If you fill out the contact form on our website you'll receive an automated response with the current price and many other details not listed on the website. We don't spam or sell our list to ANYONE. The list will only be used to let folks know when a new batch of bikes will become available. I love that we present as large enough to have a marketing department-we don't-a vehicle as unique as the Electrom markets itself. We put every dime into making it better and more affordable, which is not easy when your are operating on a small scale.

KZbin search window refuse to accept the word electrom. It automatically changes it to electron. I think this will happen a lot - change the name now before it is too late.

she is not pedaling and it moves itself?

Yes, it is an e-bike with a throttle. It can be configured as a pedal first if required.

Can somone under 18 drive it
@electrom_LEV3 жыл бұрын
The answer is yes, most of the time. It does depend on you local e-bike rules. Here in BC you have to be 16 to ride an e-bike.

The wheels are WAY too far apart. YOu could get so much more manouverable if you could get them closer together, and it looks like there IS room to do just that.
@electrom_LEV2 жыл бұрын
Actually no, the wheelbase of the Electrom is the length it is for a number of reasons, comfort, stability and safety are the main ones. Just because there is room to do something does not mean that it is a good idea.
@MrRolnicek2 жыл бұрын
@@electrom_LEV I mean, I really like this bike but the turn radius seems to be just way too large and that has to be because of this reason. I'd want to be able to turn around as easily as my motorcycle but this is worse than the biggest chopper on the market. Also I don't see how limiting the turn radius increases safety ... If I'm in a sharper turn I'd want to lean more and turn more but if I can't, I fly off the road. That's not very safe.

The brakes are on the wrong side! All my liffe, all two wheeled bakes have the front brake on the right side.
@electrom_LEV2 жыл бұрын
It sounds like your are coming from a motorcycle background. On bicycles it is the oposite, front brake on the left, rear brake on the right. However, the brake levers are reversible so you could always change it if you wanted.
@collie19812 жыл бұрын
@@electrom_LEV Hi, unfortunately I agree with Stephen, my mountain bikes (here in Australia at least) have always had front brake on the right...

How do you reverse in a tight parking area? In my bike; I just push my bike back with my 🦵
@electrom_LEV2 жыл бұрын
same on the Electrom, the rider just pushes with their feet. We did experiment with a reverse switch, but the handling of the powered reverse was too unpredictable on a two-wheel vehicle and so we opted to keep it simple and foot-powered.
