Dino’s Tinker Shed, S3 Ep32 Today, I re-upholster an ATV seat for a 2004 Yamaha Bruin 350.
Today I will show you how I re-upholstered the seat on a 2004 Yamaha Bruin 350. Although you may not own this ATV, or any ATV for that matter, this process can be replicated for other ATV’s, motorcycles, snowmobiles, or even personal watercraft if you must. The process is relatively simple with the only specialty tools being an electric or air powered staple gun. In total I spent about $50.00 Canadian on this project and had fun doing so, I would recommend anyone with some DIY skills to give it a try and save yourself some money.

What a great job you did on that seat. I think complex curves on seats require a bit of thought. You went through all the steps so a DYI person could follow your your precedures. You have added to the tips for the DYI community - Thankyou Dino

Found that the hand stapler wasn't good enough to get the staples in enough , air stapler worked out well 🎉, thanks.

Looks great! I did a Seat Concepts foam and cover change on my DR last year, I definitely could have used an air stapler, great tip! Seat Concepts sends a clear plastic bag with the kit to put under the vinyl. They say it helps keep moisture out of the foam, apparently the vinyl will let a little bit through.

That stretchy covering looks easier to install. I used heavy vinyl upholstery and a heat gun to get it to fit a Sportsman seat...took two tries after I figured out you had to start in the mid contour to stretch and staple.

I didn't know that they made t50 pneumatic staplers. I struggled to no end, re-covering the seat on my yz250 ,using a manual stapler. Thanks for the education!
