The main reason she got caught was because the police and the lady actually thought it was a male hurting a female. If a female was doing it to a male, there would have been little concern.

Just the "Catfish" concept alone is pretty terrible. I knew a guy who was a super nice person, but he was shy. He had a hard time meeting girls. He met someone online and became totally smitten... Later it turned out this person was absolutely made up, using someone elses photos and all that. He was devastated and I felt really bad for him.

Yes the same thing happened to my husband’s cousin years ago. When he finally drove many hours to see her, she turned out to be a completely different person than in the pictures she used. She was a lot older and much less attractive than the cute young lady his age that he thought he was talking to... I’m surprised they didn’t video call before the actual meeting. But back then it wasn’t as common I guess.

@@dazzlerwebmy husband’s cousin got catfished by a woman; he drove to her country to see her (he lives in Europe, so it was only 4-5 hours away) when he got to her place she wouldn’t open the front door for him. When she finally did open the door she was not at all the same woman in the pictures. She was older, and let’s say not the same level of attractiveness. So he just turned around and left her standing there without a word, got a room at a B&B and spent a couple of days sightseeing before going back home. He was very disappointed. I wish catfishers truly realized the great amount of harm they do.

that doesn't really make sense. She IS a psycho and evil and so was NEVER and CAN NEVER put it to good use. And it's a naive thought on world hunger and cancer(s), which are too numerous to count. A lot of world hunger is caused by communism, fascism, dictators and warlords in third world countries stealing food (it was the cause of Blackhawk Down). Not sure one psycho with good intentions (which makes no sense) would change that.

Being a board- qualified , true- blue professional in the field of psychology , it would be very easy for you to bask in the splendor of diagnostic kismet.....covering cases that are, as, if the subjects have sprouted legs and walked right out of the DSM III......text book. Yet you take on complex cases, most of which, cannot be so easily unraveled. You are always triumphant, reminding me of a big dish of french vanilla ice cream, covered in chocolate sauce, then, warm caramel sauce . Yummy.!!!!!!!!!!. She was obviously disillusioned and bitter over failed relationships and got a thrill, an emotional high, from leading people on only to burst their bubble when the timing was right, just as her bubble had burst on her. It was her form of revenge, satisfaction, and entertainment to hurt others as she herself had been hurt. 🧚‍♀

That Lydia person is one truly deranged human. Meanwhile, why did "Emma" fall in love with someone sight unseen, and worse, AFTER finding out the person was faking the first time?

Not very often that you find a romance scammer who is not motivated by money. In fact, she even gave one of her victims a small amount of money - very unusual.

Dear Dr Grande, she is better off behind bars. I think she is likely to repeat the scam once released. She is clearly sadistic and unprincipled. She now has an extended holiday at His Majesties Hotel = gaol. Excellent, enjoyable and another quirky matter well explained.

This is the most bizarre one yet. Especially since the poor lady victim ended up insane and actually ended her own life. Could you run an analysis of the victim?

In middle school, a girl told me a teen idol was her cousin. "Come over. He's supposed to drop by." Showing me pictures of him then dropping the subject when it was time for me to go. I think she enjoyed her short reign of power.
