You realize that Tom went through a lot of pain during this tour. It was amazing what he accomplished during his lifetime. If only we could all be so lucky... and talented !

when he can't hear himself and the piano player covers for him, and it becomes down the road a piece and then he stops them and counts in "oh carol" .... i am telling you, that is full on greatness on ever level. they could not hear that. they trusted themselves. they wont make bands like that again.

When I saw Tom Petty he brought the Black Crowes along to open. The Crowes were amazing, but when Petty took the stage and began playing, you can feel it was just on another level. Every song, lyric, and note seemed polished. I'm pretty sure I've seen every classic rock band live ...The Who, Zeppelin, Aerosmith, Bad Co , Stones, Queen , Kiss, Thin Lizzy, Nugent, Skynyrd....all but Hendrix and Clapton. None wrapped it all together live like Petty. Miss this guy

even Mike said the same thing he's like man we should have just called and quits and times like nope 40 years we just get this tour done and then head for the surgeon... unfortunately had time opted to fix the broken hip he might have been with us still instead of medicating with all the other stuff and ending up accidentally overdosing

He was high! That's why you're not supposed to drive while you're on prescription pain medication. I'm not saying anything bad against him but it is what it is, in his mind, he was floating on cloud 9...lol You could tell he was smashed in the first minute of the video, I didn't know he was that far into the pills at the time. One dose of Narcan would've saved his life, I'm shocked nobody had it around because they all knew he was on opiods!

@@bryonkidder6199 soooooo f’n true WHY didn’t anyone have the narcan? It’s so uncomfortable, sad, and unsettling to watch this particular show. Shows how brilliant/ well seasoned they all were to cover him and through this show. Poor Tom. All for us

Well..if he just concentrated on TP and the Heartbreakers instead of the audience you would've complained that he didn't have enough shots of the audience. Either way a person does something for KZbin and it seems it's never perfect for someone else. So you don't have to watch this. No one's glued your eyes open so that you have to watch this. Pass on it... go watch another video. Problem solved. Wasn't that easy?

I don't know the full story on his infirmity. He looks like a man in pain and the effects of opoide meds. Those meds helped end his life. Celebrity can be a ticket to easy prescriptions and poor medical oversight. Better care and physical therapy may have improved his quality of life and we could still be enjoying his company on stage. 💖💖💖
@gailremp83892 жыл бұрын
You answered your own response in the first sentence. You don't know the full story of his 'infirmity'. He had many falls and he cracked the hip and it was fully cracked by this concert. No he didn't overdose himself because he wanted to overdose. So please check your facts before you start putting in all this 'better care, physical therapy may have improved his quality of life and we can still be enjoying ... blah, , blah, blah. Did he not tell you in virtually every song that he wrote that he was going to do it as he chose? Do you know won't back down. Saving grace. Learning to fly. I mean how many more songs do I have to "so I know what you're saying it's wonderful if you've got a 90 year old mother like I did who was impossible and she had a great quality of life blah blah blah boring boring boring. So just enjoy this for what it is and don't overanalyze someone else's life when you don't have a clue as to what his life was or he wanted it to be really. Just take care of yourself and be good with your family and all that you care about. Thank you.
