In my experience, a foreigner misinterpreting your culture is more funny than offensive as long as they're not making judgements based on those misinterpretations. So basically, keep doing that, it's hilarious for the country involved.

You will never find a sign pointing or welcoming you to 's-Gravenhage, nor will you find any for Den Bosch, but the people of Den Bosch are too humble and the people of 's-Gravemhage too pretentious to make you think otherwise.

Your pronunciation is actually 95% spot on. Only your o in Bossche is too high, Your o sounds as the o in floss. While the O in Bossche bol sounds like the o in Mole. Nice though. And Btw, Turning it upside down will just cause the chocolate on top to be lost. My advice to eat it is... and it will be messy, Cut it in half grab the one half with your hand and shove it in your open face hole. Chew, and repeat with the second half. My advice, If you ever go to the Netherlands, It's worth the trip to go to Den Bosch ('s-Hertochenbosch), just for the Bossche Bol.

@J0k394

The pastry is spherical. Not a perfect sphere but just a little squat, quite like a profiterole. It has a hole in the bottom from where the cream was injected, and after that it gets dipped in chocolate. The chocolate covering is then not quite covering the entire thing because it needs to be held someplace during dipping. By turning it upside down and eating it from the hole, you're supporting it at the chocolate, which gets your fingers sticky, but because you're enlarging the hole, there's no pressure building up causing the cream to squish out.

Profiterole = cream puff in the US. I just happened to stumble upon that. Now I know what the heck you guys are talking about. I mean, cream puff is self explanatory. Why the other name? It's not the French name for it, which translates to cream cabbage.

I mean, it kind of is a cream cabbage. I say this as someone who has not once laid eyes on a profiterole.
