Good news all - band packs are going to be available again by end of day at Elitefts.com. I am reassembling band pack. We havent been using the long monster minis, and we need extra short bands for the deads. The long monster minis are what was out and why it is showing out of stock - so BOOM...gives us a few hours and you'll be good to go!

What the last several weeks really highlights is that when we start doing exercises that we don’t normally do we find out some very real weaknesses. Bands look easy, but if you don’t train with them woah! Hey! They are challenging! This whole deal should be opening some eyes regarding fitness and the variety that is out there that we forget about, isn’t bro enough, etc. thank you John for these videos and the importance you give them. Fantastic.

Completely agree...opens our eyes to different training methods and improving all the things we generally skip over. Definitely will keep us strong for when we are able to return to the actual gym. (In a certain way it gives me more respect to people who are going through rehab exercises using bands/bodyweight...its tough!)

I have used bands for a couple years. I notice that they work a lot of the smaller supporting muscles that are very hard to get at. That gives better definition. I have screw eye screws into pine trees and then attach the bands to those via spring clips (make sure you check the weight capacity when you buy). This gives me a lot of flexibility in terms of movement and pushing as well as pulling and is very low cost.

Ive been weight training since I was 16 ...now 48 and I have just started using reistance bands in my workouts these last 3-4 weeks. So, I would just like to say that these bands are an excellent addidtive to your workouts. They give you a phenomenal stretch for your muscles and also give you a greater range of motion in some cases.

These videos are brilliant. A lot of others I've seen have been with equipment many don't have at home, basically 'at home-gym' workouts. These have helped me massively. 👍

Thank you. I stumbled upon you yesterday and I thank you. For the calming, caring tone. No ego. Exactly what is needed at this very moment in our lives. Crazy stuff going on around us. 50 year old, out of shape, with a gut and type 2 diabetes desperately trying to change some things in his life. FANTASTIC girlfriend, just moved into a new house last week trying to jump on these positives and ride their waves. Have a few tube bands and a few loop bands I'm wanting to take advantage of. If you want to superset band chest do banded pushups then flip around and press the bands on your back on a bench if you can or standing near doorway. Giant set with flyes and the pump can be seen from the space station.

Great list. Band front squats with a heavy band are also good. Stand on the band with both feet, squat down, put the band over both of your front shoulders, lift arms up and grab band with both hands and pull away from the neck. Then squat.

Are band workouts good? I mean some people say they're useless. Are people "just making do" with the current situation, because no one has gone on about bands so much before.

@@jjwp-ql5rv I hear ya. Im no expert but they give me a big pump. I am using a mix of bands and light dumbbells. If you work hard, resistance is resistance. I do think they are popular now because of the virus and I dont think anyone will cancel their membership because of them. My plan is to work them in to my gym workouts because I feel they have a unique feel and work with your natural strength curve and also give your joints a break. BtW, i did arms yesterday with bands only and I'm more sore than I usually am with free weights. The contraction with bands is no joke

jjwp 1988 bands are certainly better than nothing or super light weights. The main appeal for using bands, for training in general, is that increasing resistance during the concentric part of the movement. You will certainly build power, or become more explosive in those areas you train.

Hi John, I must say you've got the best workout videos. None of the flashy jazzy superficial stuff, but instead logical methodical and intelligent ways to train. As someone who's a family man, a business owner, entrepreneur and also someone who's been working out for the past 15 years - I thoroughly enjoy and can relate to your content. If you want to do some facepulls, but you have nothing to ancre your band : lie down on your back, raise your legs up, put the band behind your feet and grab it in order to make the band and square (more difficult) or a triangle (pull your legs close : less difficult) then you Can perform the face pull movement, pull hard to make a double biceps pose, until the back of your hand hits the floor.

Thanks for the band workout videos John. I just completed my first week PPLPP Monday - Friday with your videos. This has saved my gains since the gym is closed. Really great workout, got an amazing pumps and really feeling benefits of using bands. Also thanks for putting on to the guys at Elite FTS (even over here in the uk!) , very high quality bands

Super video, keep on in this way. We need guy's like you, to help as to stay maximum time in good shape. Bulgarian squad is a great exercise ( not because I'm from Bulgaria), there are no other that can change my quads like him. I would add and a Shoulder press whit heavier bands.

Tricep pushdowns tied to a high point anchor. Do them for time not reps , juicy pump 👌🏼. Another way to hit calf raises is to sit down and put the band around the top of your foot and plantar flex your foot , works well for increasing ankle ROM too.

I've been doing these band workouts for the past week and they've been awesome! I'm certainly no IFBB Pro/elite powerlifter but I'm a pretty strong guy and doing crossovers/rows with the mini band made me more sore than a heavy barbell has in some time! Big thanks to John for putting out these great routines great stuff in general.

Today was my first time doing an all bands upper body workout. I usually use them for corrective work or stretching. I am completely sore and useless for the rest of the day! Elite FTS bands are great and they actually aren't all sold out.

I do primarly bodyweight exercises, our family took considerations to purchase pull up bar station. During the lockdown, the only items I had were yoga mat and resistance bands (for me recycled bike tubes). Doing full body workouts following it up with running and mobility routine the next day. Believe it or not regular casual pants I have now feels tighter even more.

Hi, if I may, there is little improvement to band hammer curls. I use it a lot as it builds better forearms strength. Wrap the band from outside of your fist and then grip it. Then each time you are curing with the biceps do the same movement with your wrist (not full range, just try to get your thumb as high as possible:) ).

Another one I really like is a band version of the old exercise X you used to have in your programs. Tie the band around the pole, sit down on the ground in a way that would be similar to exercise x then do the movement with one side and focus on the contraction then move to the other side. Really gave me an amazing pump doing this today

I really appreciate these videos but as a guy that can squat 365 for reps and more, i dont get sore at all from these workouts because my body is acustomed to lifting a great deal of weights. I have never been more afraid of losing gains and I cant imagine for people that are stronger than me. My dream is to become a pro bodybuilder but i guess i have to put that on hold because im too broke to afford gym equipment and live in a small appartement so no room for a power rack either. Hopr we can all get through this

I'm in the same boat, bro. I'm trying to do things like conditioning, single leg moves, calisthenics , etc. just to maintain. Some of these band exercises are pretty good, but it's difficult to work legs without heavy barbells.

Great suggestions John, will def try them. As for lateral raises, try it with 2 red bands with the right band under your left foot and vice verse. That gives a nice burn after 15-20 controlled reps. Cheers and stay safe all.

Kickbacks are really a "hidden gem". I am not a very strong person, but I really saw a big difference when I tried to workout with a certain weight that I could lift with my tripecs in another exercise but really strugeled when it came to kickbacks.

I've been getting almost as good as a workout as I do in the gym with bands. Think Physics, can my bands handle it and what body parts it effects good or bad. I've made some funky looking set ups but am still getting in a good workout.

These videos are super useful!! Thanks for uploading man; I've been trying to build a pull-up bar in my garden and maybe I'll add some dip bars soon too, but yeah the bars were no issue but getting the cement right now to get it in the ground is damn near impossible ahahah. Insane like, everything seems to be sold out everywhere. Guess the bands will have to do for now. Peace.

He does, John is an incredible persona, but while watching this particular video he looks very immobile with this size - maybe because of the loose clothes John likes to wear, but still - he's a real beast and even tho he's not a natural - the overal knowledge and experience the guy has is just priceless i think

For another month? In VA, the quarantine will be until June 10 and in NY at least July 1st! When the gyms open we will all wait in line for the 10 pound dumbbells.

For the Romanians John fold the band and make a loop/handle on each side , the band will be much more stretched , and thus more constant tension
