1. Dark Souls 2 - Interchangable with any of the From Soft games since DeS. But 2 was the one that was really special. The whole game is an allegory to depression. You have this sombre adventure as you go through the game and visit different lands, yet a constant sense of aimlessness. Then you reach the end and if you pay attention, you meet some NPC's that tell you some really profound things and help you see life differently. Aside from that, it's still just a very long game with lots of equipment to find, tons of levels and a wide variety of different builds to replay the game with. 2. Dungeons & Dragons: Online - How to even describe this? It's a full video game port of a D&D 3.5 system. You have towns as open MMO worlds where you meet up with people to form a party and you've got HUNDREDS of custom, hand crafted - not roguelike - dungeons to choose from and play through. Or you used to, nowadays only private players group up but the game's still playable in solo. You've got so much potential variety on what characters to make. Incredibly wide spectrum of all fantasy stereotypes. 3. Vermintide 2 - Again, you don't necessarily need to be into Warhammer to love this game. Vermintide 2 persistently offers that feeling of intense action that makes me feel like I'm Aragorn, Gimli or Legolas in the middle of Helm's deep. Wading knee deep in hordes of enemies, but it never ends up feeling like it's *just* a game that throws a lot of cannon fodder at you for the sake of "hahaha Zerg rush, Zerg rush"! You really need to be on top of your game to deal with every situation and every minute is an adventure full of problem solving, tactics and strategy that call on you to have a good understanding of your equipment. 4. Half Life 2 - Whether it be the low PC spec requirements it took for me to run it or the hundred+ free mods that Valve let people make and distribute, Half Life 2 was my gaming life from 2007 to 2010 when all I had was an underwhelming desktop PC. 5. Resident Evil 3 - Ranking based somewhat on a nostalgia factor. I REALLY got immersed into this game as a kid. Meaning I couldn't fucking sleep for a month after playing it because I was shitting myself with fear. I know the devs thought they were making some silly action thriller game, but for me, this game will always be a master class in horror. 6. FFX-2 - The most feature rich, content filled JRPG I've ever played and it also has Active Time Battles, Job System and New Game + which are all some of the best things found elsewhere in the Final Fantasy franchise but never all in one place like this one. 7. Mad Max - The environmental design in this game is 15 out of 10 WUNDERSCHLITZEN. Never would I have thought there could be so many deeply fascinating things you could do with the idea of "desert terrain". You have dried out seabeds, oil rigs standing on dry terrain, a lighthouse that used to be on an island but now it looks like it's on a mountain, Route 66, Grand Canyon looking places, swamps, Aladdin style endless looking sand dunes, an airport buried beneath the endless sand dunes - it goes on and on, it's incredible! 8. TW:Warhammer 1/2/3 - Even if you don't care about Warhammer, these games are just something else entirely. You have a fantasy world with numerous fantasy races and you get to lead their armies against eachother in RTS battles while also managing them on a turn based map. The scale and variety is like nothing you've seen in any RTS or 4x game before. 9. Gothic 3 - Still my #1 open world Western RPG. When Oblivion was busy copy pasting the same low-poly trees in flat green terrain and calling forests, Gothic 3 was already out and made me feel like I'm in the deepwods of Europe with vegetation so thick that you can easily get lost and disoriented in. Just make sure you play with the community patch, as the game had to get rushed out for release buggy. Also, it's made by Germans so I think Rantoni is legally required to play it. 10. Ace Combat: Zero - A profound piece of playable drama with a 10/10 soundtrack. 11. Grand Theft Auto IV - Amazing single player campaign. Starts as a slow burn and steadily progresses on with a playable mobster movie vibe. 12. Command & Conquer 3 - Absolutely top quality science fiction and atmosphere. 13. Exit Fate - An RPG Maker game that plays very linearly and traditionally for an RPG but yet has huge amounts - 60 or more - party members you can unlock by going to the right places at the right time. Also just a wonderful story that has you hooked from beginning to end. 14. Jak II - Also 6th gen gaming at it's best as well as just having an amazing style and atmosphere. 15. Ratchet & Clank 2 - Great variety and content, 6th gen gaming at it's best. 16. MGS 3 - Shows that video games can surpass movies.

Bloodborne might have been my favorite game of all time, even over Dark Souls 1, the game I put about 2000 hours of love and enjoyment into... except for one crucial, gut-wrenching, ass-violating flaw with BB... It's a PS4 exclusive. I can't play it on the PC, and therefore can't play it. It's like this void in my heart which deserves to be filled by Bloodborne, and Bloodborne's just sitting there waiting for me to take it into myself, and I reach over to take it... and my heart gets elbow dropped through a table by its PS4 exclusivity. FROM (and Sony) PLEASE GIVE ME MY PC BLOODBORNE (and Demon's Souls tyty)!

Mass Effect 3 though. You don't even get a krogan in your main character list there's only a single revisitable location: The Citadel. Did you not notice how few revisitable locations there are? It's all one and then done. ME1 and 2 had the Citadel PLUS additional hub planets. Also there were ZERO vehicles levels. I loved ME1's epic levels where you fought in the Mako and then dismounted to take out a base and open gates to drive through. Not that the Mako was the best, but you get used to the controls over time. I really missed navigating open world planets... ME3 wasn't bad, it just wasn't as open world as the first 2 and especially 1. ME3 was like a downgraded version of the first 2.

@@pyro561 TBF the only con of witcher is the outdated and kind of lame(still flashy and good enough for me tho) combat system. That being said i dont know why would anyone suck at it. Its only 3 actions Hit , Dodge , Sign. Play on PC, get some great mods(google nexusmods for starets), i wouldn't recommend playing on super easy difficulties, as you will miss on big part of Preparing for fights with oils concoctions and stuff. It's worth the time and money... Still Massive RGPS like Witcher or Skyrim should be experienced on PC with freedom to mod the game.
