I agree with everything u just said. But if there's one thing that I personally gave a pass was the cutscenes. IO interactive was cut off from Square Enix. Because of this, they had budget problems and that's why the CG cutscenes took a big hit. It's your choice to see this as an excuse or not, but personally, since they still managed to give us such a good game despite behind the scenes problems, I didn't mind at all.

Yes, I heard that unfortunate story, it's admirable they still delivered a fantastic game despite the dick move Square pulled off, at least they had a legit excuse if they screwed up, unlike some other dev that made an inexcusabley crappy game called Fallout 76 😏

I'm so Glad IOInteractive sticks to their guns! I love them for going back to this amazing formula. Here's a developer that knows it produces games for a niche audience, sure. The real reason that they had to drop the cinematic cutscenes and there were less levels is because they were dropped by square Enid because the first hitman didn’t make the money they were hoping for. The bosses at IO nearly had to stop development on the game due to this. The only way for them to be able to make the game on this budget was to make less levels and cut the cutscenes.

As for Cutscenes... well IO parted ways with Square Enix, which funded their cutscenes and provided the tech. They just lacked the means and funding for those cutscenes, as they weren't done in house, they were provided by their previous publisher.
