When my girl started to pull away, she said this to me: "Perdona me, creo que ya no soy dulce contigo" which in Spanish means, "Forgive me, I think I am not sweet to you anymore". I knew at that moment, her feelings for me had changed, and they never returned. Other phrases she used on me later on, "go look for someone else, there's many other women out there", "I wish the best for you", "I need time (tiempo)", "I'm happy by myself", "I don't want to be in a relationship with anyone right now", "I just want you to be happy", blah blah blah it's all BS and avoidant excuses. And during all that time, she had someone else and was simply stringing me along. What a bitch. Guys, just say "okay" and walk away. That is the manliest thing you can do 💪

I was in a stressful period of my life and was in the early stages of burnout/exhaustion. At the end I told her I wouldn't come with her to all those social functions she dragged me along to. I needed time to take it easy and recover. She then broke up with me with the excuses; 1. I don't want to feel alone in a relationship, she wanted someone to come with her to social functions. 2. I don't want to risk your health and wellbeing. She didn't think I was ready for a romantic relationship. 3. Maybe in the future. I found out later from mutual friends that only a week later she was in a new relationship with someone she got to know through a computer game during our relationship

My ex left me a day before Christmas. Back then, he did not tell my why, he just said it was all too much for him. He had lots of things going on, and after weeks of feeling neglected, I pushed him too hard to spend quality time with me. Totally anxious and shocked by the breakup, I tried to get him back (and big surprise:) while he pulled back more and more. After months of confusion, he finally told me that while he still cares about me, he doesn’t love me anymore - and this was the case quite a while before he broke up with me. I guess that when one person is not willing or able to at least invest the bare minimum into some quality time, then feelings just fade. I don’t know.

Exactly the same for me. Got discarded after a year relationship. What ended up happening with your situation? Is your ex with someone else now? Mine kept sending “how are you” texts every few weeks so I said it’s better if we don’t talk bc I’ve been having a really hard time healing.

@camillebelair9812 well I almost with that was my case. This happened back in January, and not a single word. Even when my grandmother passed a few months after the discard. I didn't hear any condolences from any of her family. Couldn't tell you if she's with someone else or not, i don't have any social media. I sympathize with you, it's 10-11 months later and it's still difficult even with therapy. Seems the history we shared meant nothing, outa sight out of mind i guess.

Dear Craig, My ex left me in April. We were together for 12 months together; a very nice relationship. After the breakup, she was sending me messages every 5 - 7 days, but when I asked her to meet, she was finding excuses. At that time I didn’t know what breadcrumbing is, so eventually in September I told her that next time she write to me if she has something significant to tell me about us, to meet and that this breadcrumbing is not ok. She said that it was not her intention to breadcrumb me and that she will try to follow what I wrote. So, my two questions: 1. do you think real no contact started in September (even though every time it was her initiating contact)? 2. Do you think there is a chance after this amount of time that she could change her mind? (she looks like an avoidant but there was a really strong bond with the same interests, understanding and physical attraction. She felt overwhelmed with her life and me in it. We are both in our 40's, with kids…) Thank you!

I accepted all that, but for some reason I had a mental block. I was afraid of hurting her feelings because she had been through hell with her ex-husband.
