When I try to do the exercise of spreading my fingers laterally with the rubber band all my fingers on my non-dominant hand collapse and lock at the PIP joint and makes it extremely uncomfortable. What can I do to avoid that from happening?

Good suggestions. You might want to add one more step to your interlocking finger pull -- you can also do that step by interlocking your thumbs and having them pull against each other. Also, add reps for each step and how often the exercises should be done.

I ordered the exact putty, the micro fresh, but comparing to the video, it seems that you were working with perhaps twice the amount then they sent. The standard jar is 2 ounces. Is it possible to do the first exercise, squeezing through, with the smaller amount or should I buy more?

Hey M.. Appreciatecyr vids... Do u have a video or could u do one for straightening finger exercises....? My partner had a benign giant cell tumour removed from little finger.. About half wsy up on first joint uo from knuckle. So scar on palm side zigzag style..the main isdue is straightening the finger as opposed to clenching . Have had some physio which was good and the physio working on straightening, but now overseas visitingfamily and carrying on at home. So, any advice or revommended exercises fir straightening appreciated.. Think we have to keep working on scar tissue which seems to be impeding movement. Thanks in advance and will keep persevering.

Great exercises! How much putty does one need to do these exercises. A lot of these putty cans only contain 2 ounces. Would that be enough?

If you have a smaller hand then 2 ounces could be enough but I prefer 3-4 ounces to get the best grip.

I have a bit of weakness in my fingers, especially my right thumb and i dont have a strong/stable grip. There are times i struggle with opening bottles, picking up coins and using sciccors to cut something. And also when it comes to writing, I sometimes struggle with holding a pen, writing and drawing curvy lines or cirkles. letters like "B,G and Q "and numbers such as "2, 3 and 5 are at times a struggle for me. Thank you for the help
