This is a guided meditation to support your mind and your body in relaxing into the experience of sleep. Dr. Kate asks you to invite your attention, one by one, to each individual part of your body, noticing if there is any tension, and allowing them to relax and let go. She helps you to use breathing exercises and encourages you to visualize this relaxation as expanding waves massaging and rippling throughout your body with each inhalation and exhalation.
Dr. Kate then asks you to deepen your relaxation by intentionally tensing each individual part of your body, one by one, for 5 seconds, then releasing. This welcomes peacefulness, calm, and healing to continue to spread throughout your body.
A fully relaxed body invites sleep to come easily and effortlessly. With freedom from thought, you can allow your body to do what it does best, rest.
