I needed this! I have been loosy goosy about my diet lately. Trying to excuse myself because of several surgeries for my husband. I have lost over 200 pounds and I have a good chunk left to get released. It was all accomplished by my careful and intentional discipline. Every day, every meal, every weight lift session, every glass of water! I love that you said it's not a punishment a- it is my reward!!!! You, Tracy, are my model! Thank you!!! I am back on track this minute!!!! Onto the next goal!!!! I want my kids to be proud of me and be energetic for my 3 grandkids!!!! Tears!!!! Hugs and kisses!!!❤

Thank you for this video, Tracy. I needed to hear this part with „no excuses and owning it. Lately I slipped with my exercise, because I was sick from flu that turned into lung infection. So exercises were not possible. And now it really shows in my weight. I could eat less to maintain my weight but I was „treating myself“ because I was sick. No more. Illness is almost gone, I started with long walks. And no more heavy meals. Thank you for great advices. Greetings from Germany.

Thanks Tracy! 🎉 I've been watching you for several years and I can attest to the fact that you work very hard for your figure, and you refuse to give up control of your eating habits. It MUST become a lifestyle and it's never a "piece of cake", especially when you don't live alone, and you go out to dinner and entertain. We have to learn how to have strength in the face of temptation.

I needed this “slap in the face” so to speak, to wake up. 😂 2 years ago I successfully lost 30 lbs and have now gained it all back!!!! I deserve right where I am. I’m doing the exact opposite of what I did to lose the weight. No wonder I gained it all back. It was slowly, but here we are again. Thanks Tracey. I saved this video to listen to it EVERYDAY to keep me in the right mindset. ❤

Hi Tracy! Wanted to share 2 small “wins” that made me think of you - in ultimate gratitude for all the great advice you have been sharing over the years- which have stuck with me. One is today I was presented with a situation where someone left a bag of fresh bagels in the pantry at work. Normally that has been my weakness but I thought about it and said to myself such things as: does this align with my goals; would this serve me; is the quality of this food worth it; not to mention “there will always be bagels” like you say there will always be donuts in the kitchen, etc. Another great moment was at my haircut appointment yesterday the hair stylist was drying my hair and complimented me on the quality and shine of it and said “you must eat well- it shows”- I was so surprised and appreciative of the compliment. Thank you again for all the great advice and for being a role model to look up to! -Brooke

Oh, how wonderful! What a nice compliment to receive. Congratulations on coaching yourself through the bagels. Continue to believe you can do hard things, be resilient, overcome temptation, and face adverse moments head-on! Keep up the great work, and thank you for sharing your two 'wins'!

TRACY!! You go girl (or should I say lady 🙂)! Loving this boss lady avatar- looks like we are in a boardroom with you. I literally was cathartic by watching this powerful video from you as I have been following each of these principles for the last several months and they helped me so much with weight loss and now, with weight management. Weight loss is not just a body but more of a "mind thing". Your body follows your mind and I am so glad that you referred that multiple times in your video and the reference of "speaking into existence". I have been following you for years and have been in a good place with my weight overall. However, with my second pregnancy, I put a lot of lbs after delivering the baby in the first few months. I was also very sleep deprived and could not get much exercise. Obviously I was frustrated about it as I place a lot of value on health and my overall body. I started making changes once my baby turned 6 months old and I decided to do something about it. I remember going to your "choose your hard" video multiple times and decided to just start walking everyday. I am an outdoor person and do brisk walk 6 days a week everyday for 2 hours. With just following that and being consistent, I have not only dropped all my pregnancy weight but this is the lowest weight I have had in the last 15 years. Yes! 15 years. My standards are so much high now and I am stepping into my power by listening to you everyday. Also, I always have your videos on when I am walking- that helps. My kids and my husband know you so well as I constantly sharing your nuggets with them. My 5 year old now understands and uses the phrase, "exercise that muscle" quite frequently. He has now thrown it at me a few times. LOL! And, that says a lot. You are an amazingly gifted person Tracy and beautiful inside out. Thank you so much for helping me and others in achieving our goals. Like I say- you are my GURU! ❤

Amazing video Tracy. I have maintained my weight almost all my adult life but now that I’m entering menopause is been more difficult. My hormones are doing me so bad and that’s even more frustrating. I could eat clean and exercise daily but I still gain weight.
@TracyHensel Жыл бұрын
Thank you! I appreciate the positive feedback. I also appreciate your sharing your thoughts, as it is a common excuse. It's common for menopausal women to blame this season on their weight gain or lack of weight loss. Believe me, I've traveled that excuse myself. Only to face the reality that our choices will always show up. It's not menopause causing the weight gain, but your choices during this season. You simply have to make changes. Eat differently, eat less, and treat yourself less frequently. Workout differently. Weight training is critical. I've worked with more pre and menopausal women than any other age, and the clients that made the changes necessary for weight loss lost weight. The excuse-oriented didn't. Don't be the excuse-oriented type. You are where you earned to be. I know it's hard to hear, but it's essential to know. I have to live with that truth just like every other menopausal woman. Step into your power. Revisit this tip that I mentioned in the video: Avoid making excuses. You are where you deserve to be. You are not the victim. You’ve earned where you are.
@Mmmmkaaay Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, once we're over 40-45,we can't consume the same amount of calories we did before,or have as many treats. And weight training must be added to our exercises in order to maintain or build back the muscle we barely had to work for in our teens and 20s. But, the great thing about weight training is that you can get away with eating a few more calories if you're consistent with your training because you will be burning more calories at rest than if you were to just have a cardio routine. You will figure this out, it just takes a different approach. Good luck! 💪🏋️♂️

Hi Tracy 👋 on today's stories you were sharing your outfit of the day (loved, thank you for sharing!) and I noticed you had shoes on on carpet. How do you feel about wearing dirty shoes in the house and how do you deal with this during events you have in your home, such as Carly's wedding? (congrats!) I am so turned off by shoes in the home but want to figure out how to deal with this while being a gracious host and also how to get loved ones in the home to respect my wishes as I feel it's such a filthy habit

I know lots of docs that use intermittent fasting as a way to help maintain their weight and slow the aging process. It’s along the same lines of “we no longer do this”. I have some books on epigenetics I’m going to dive into. Great video!

Many of my clients 'IF' and feel great as a result. I have incorporated time-restricted eating into my repertoire as well. I recently did a 3-Day Water Fast and have another one coming up. I encourage you to check out my Intermittent and Extended Fasting library. There is one on managing weight with Intermittent fasting and why some lose and some don't.
