This proves that you don't have to train extremely heavy to build an impressive physique. You only need intensity. You can get it by lifting heavy or light.
@sawoop385610 жыл бұрын
In fitness intensity is consider load or weight, I think what you meant was time under tension or volume perhaps
@DESHUN197010 жыл бұрын
You got it! You can get results from lifting heavy or light weight. For myself, I like in between weight
@sawoop385610 жыл бұрын
Yeah you can get results from both or in between, just some training styles have different goals in mind but yes if you train in between that would be the best for hypertrophy training

Most of the people I can tell, who left a comments from the first three weeks on down are not real body builders or even think like a true body builder. Posting non since. Kai Greene spent his valuable time explaining his philosophical ideas and experiences and those are best comments you "three week and under people" can post and leave. Kai is explaining the Desperation it takes in order to bring out the champion in you or reach your greatest self. Also to use desperation to overcome obstacles and so forth. HAVE RESPECT FOR KAI AND THE DAMN VIDEO! Take the knowledge that Kai has given and let it trigger the desperation inside you. GO!

Kai's squat technique is amazing. And how he does hamstring curls is better than most people. I think these techniques is why he's had the edge over the field with legs for the last few years.

Also, I wonder if he would have the same amount of determination, without taking steroids, and without the amount of growth with steroids, would he then have the same determination. And I would how far if any he would have progressed without steroids. This is not an attack on him, but a question to all the progress and take steroids. Wayne

it depends, i find that 30-40 seconds is very good for a high intensity workout plus it is good for hypertrophy, if you want to get stronger i suggest longer rest periods, 3-5 min

Intense workout. Reality is though, no regular person has 4-5 hours spare to train like this at gym. People have jobs, family etc. But if you are a professional athlete, then go ahead, you get paid to train.
@Crosbysman8910 жыл бұрын
Reality is, these guys really only train maybe 2 hours on leg day...it room longer because Kai had to correct the guy on form, and also Kai and most bodybuilders train alone because it WOULD take 4 hours to complete. I work 6 overnights a week (full/overtime) and train 2 hours a day and can STILL see my family and not suffer at my job. Do you know what Phil was doing before his sponsorships? He worked 2 jobs and still trained his ass off. If you want to be average, stick to the typical half-hour, 45 minute workout sessions so you can spend time on Facebook and everything. The people that want to be more will put more work in, and make time to make everything else fit in. It's not easy, but it's also not impossible. Only your mind puts limitations on what you can do, your body can slowly shape and mold to fit those limitations.

The thing that kind of bothers me about Nick is that now that he's pretty close to getting his pro card and that he has his own training videos on Muscular D he didn't seem to learn a damn thing. His training style is nothing like Kai's. I mean, obviously you don't wanna just copy, you change a bit but he seems to have just dismissed it all.
@someperson11110 жыл бұрын
Well it will show when he doesn't reach that ELITE level. As Kai said all of the best were really deep thinkers that made the most of every movement.
@lexxon119 жыл бұрын
It's called sacrifice when you believe you have another option. Example ... Computer programmer knowing he can make 100,000 a year if he fails or knows he has other decent options. But it is called desperation when you can't see another way out. It do it or die!!!!!
@d3rd3vil10 жыл бұрын
Well I like Kai a lot. But 3 hours well that is sth. unthinkable for me. Even 2 hours are too much. Cause you probably got sth. to train the next day and to have that power to recover that fast...for me impossible. So these training videos are great for the extreme bodybuilders or people who wanna learn a bit. But I will never train like that :) And another point is that 15-20 reps well that is sth. I'd do from time to time but regularly to build muscle? No more like 6-12 reps....
@d3ltaforcer3d7910 жыл бұрын
I think training 15-20 for a few weeks then changing it to like 6-12 might be a good way to go. I started doing the 15-20 reps and god damn... I feel my body tightening up more than anything.
@seanfitz10 жыл бұрын
what does "sth" mean?
@irondisciple29849 жыл бұрын
D3ltaForce R3d your body was tightening up from all the blood getting pumped in there, high reps can result in big pump and muscle tightening, which is not the goal in muscle growth, because your muscles will give out quicker than what they can handle. Rep range for growth is 8-12 with a weight you can surely do those reps with, with drop set method to hit muscle fibers from different angels. Low rep range equals in strength gains witch is 3-5 or 7
@irondisciple29849 жыл бұрын
If you are serious about body building, im sure you know it takes time to build lean muscle it is not instant growth in one night. And knowing that your body needs time to heal for a week for the next leg session. Im sure you would want to target every muscle of your leg to get the best look. So 2 hours is never enough to work on a body part with multiple muscles you need to stimulate, contract, extend and tear to build. Try it one day, try to target all your legg muscles and focus on form contraction and extension. In my knowledge of muscle growth and stimulating contracting should take one second, and extending should be 3 to 4 seconds. Train till your body gives out, not when you are out of breath. When you get a soreness feeling and nervous tingle pain while doing a curl or so, thats when its game over. I usually get those in the 3rd to 4rth hour.

for a bodybuilder, why is Nick so whiney? it looked as if he wanted to quit after just 1 hour
@TheLordSnowbro11 жыл бұрын
Like it's said in the previous videos, he's doing workouts he's used to - yet Kai is switching the form and everything Nick is accustomed to, such as the straight-leg deadlifts and this hamstring/glute workout. He's working muscles he's never worked before, or at least not to the extent that this workout does. Also it's different exercises he may not be used to, such as the (Jefferson? I forget the name) squats that he was doing in the first video.
