I absolutely love how Phil gives actual advice and isn’t afraid to help someone else improve. I’ve worked with so many trainers and I’ve never been lucky enough to have someone actually WANT me to grow. Sadly it seems like “here’s your plan. Do your reps.” But they’re looking around the gym, talking, or just standing there.

@user-kg1od9es5d Жыл бұрын
listen carefully to what i say. phil is correct about the pinky finger stuff, i figured it out 1.5 years ago. HOWEVER, a lot of these methods ONLY work when you have built a certain amount of size. When you are too small the muscles wont really activate as you want to fatigue them (other muscles will get involved). @@jlogan2228 You need to have a significant amount of size to train like this and to continue growing. nick walker trains in a similar fashion... after years of lifting heavy, heavy heavy.

Another pro tip, and something I figured out about 5 years into lifting: when you are doing biceps on a preacher curl machine, keep your hands open throughout the entire movement, only pulling the handles with your open palms, and also don't let your wrist angle change AT ALL throughout the entire movement. This allows you to really isolate the biceps and not let your forearms/hands come into play much at all. You won't be able to handle nearly the same amount of weight, but the biceps are a small muscle group and don't need a lot of weight/resistance to develop, if you're truly isolating them, that is.

So far watching weightlifting 🏋️♀️ videos for three years, I have learned so much and especially was inspired by Will as a baby beginner lifter in my 30’s to just try. Phil’s message about prioritizing health and not just blasting gear for followers is very inspiring. All the experienced pros seem to have the same consistent message which is to reach your natural potential first before ever considering the chemical enhancers if ever. Our human brains 🧠 aren’t even finished developing critical thinking decision making until we are 25+ years old, why do anything to limit your natural intelligence? Live fast, die young only sounds cool as a teenager but the reality is we can easily live to 80yr so why only plan your life for half that????? There are so many joys in life don’t limit yourself ❤.
