Facts: Leather outfit is the same one Elvis wore during his special, Red guitar is the same one used during the special, the piano player is wearing the red jumper the band wore and the piano player is Angelina's mentor / record label CEO.. The two young girls are her cousins and the 3rd older girl is her sister. Also, the hairdo is the same beehive Priscilla Presley wore.

@@103mrg Rob Christie posted on his Instagram that it is his guitar. I don't think he indicated that it was the same one Elvis used. But, he also posted comparison photos of his guitar and the one Elvis used (borrowed) and they sure seem to exactly match.

She is only 16, so her progression is still on an upward curve, maybe for another 10 years?! You’re right that, she has grown a LOT in the last 2 years. She has also been under the mentoring of Rob Christie (the pianist here and 2x Grammy award), studio director of Republic Records in LA. Being their high priority new artist, she has had every facility laid at her feet, and she has taken full advantage of it all. They are letting her go where she wants to, they know they have a phenomenal artist on their books. Like with Mother .. that opening line sent goosebumps up many an arm! Best wishes for your new projects!

Ladys, it seems, this marks the end of Angelinas school days/videos, as seen with her younger relatives playing her. It seems, we art starting a new chapter with her. Her concerts in Norway, Japan, bringing out her new album after returning. We "angels" are pretty sure, now will come the TV shows, Talk shows....the whole caboodle. Great reaction. I am privileged to be one of the first commenters. A couple of points that might be helpful. Ironically, given your comments about tribute acts, this is a bit of a tribute act, but in a good way. Not Amy Winehouse hair, she did not invent the beehive; Priscilla Presley hair, with Elvis’s outfit from the ‘68 Comeback Special. And his guitar from the same show. And the pianist is wearing the same outfit as his band from the same show. She literally blows the dust (did you see it fly off the piano’s dust sheet?) off an old classic.

I've listened to Angelina's rendition probably ten times. I just can't get enough of her artistry. At the beginning of the video---prefaced by the hollow echo of her bootsteps---it's like she is physically stepping back in time when she removes the sheets from the old chair and mirror. More so when the dusty sheet is removed from the old, beat-up piano. Coupled with her 60s retro Priscilla hairdo, black leather Elvis outfit, and cherry red electric guitar---all are reminiscent of a more innocent, bygone era. I can think of no other vocalist than Angelina Jordan who has the artistry to present such a hauntingly beautiful interpretation of Suspicious Minds.

Without scrolling through all the comments, I'm sure others have mentioned (but if not) that the hairstyle was in honor of Priscilla Presley, Elvis's wife when this was recorded by him. Amy Winehouse wouldn't be born until 15 years later. I don't know how this reaction escaped from being in my recommendations until now, but my eyes lit up and I got a huge smile when I saw it. I have heard Elvis's version many times but never actually heard the words and the meaning until Angelina did her interpretation. Just 16 years old, and in my opinion, already a star,

Hi 👋 you 2. Giving you an update. Angelina released her 1st official single from RR on May 5th called "Love don't let me go". Angie said she wrote it about LOVE itself and not about being in love but her talking to LOVE itself. Deep lyrics for a 17 yr old. Her album will be released between June and Fall of 2023.

We love you guys very much but there is a mystery about you, who you are and unless you don't want to get closer to us we would like to know more about you. Yes? No? Loved the song, your reaction, and Angelina. Even though most people say the hair reminds them of Priscilla, which it does, I think Elvis had a lot to do with the way Priscilla wore her hair. So for me, I believe Angelina looks like Elvis as a female.

By slowing the temple down, the lyrics tell the story better than the original faster temple song. The use of symbolism from Elvis's leather jumpsuit and red guitar used in his come-back concert in 1968, to Priscilla's beehive hairdo. Once again Angelina Jordan has shown her brilliant storytelling in song!

Angelina’s grandmother produced all of this, down to the tiniest detail. The filming was very good. Every time I watch, their is something else. There are 2 mirrors on the wall that show her reflection. I love the bell on the door. So much period detail. Thanks for reacting.

That dude playing the piano is Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California, and he has been working with AJ since she signed with the largest record company in the world at the age of 14, two years ago. Rob was the MC of AJ Christmas Show that aired Dec 23, of 21. AJ’s Christmas Show that live-streamed on Dec 23 of 21 had some of the most important musicians of our time: Frank Sinatra's drummer for 6 years, and sun in-law of the late Henry Mancini, Greg Field has won 9 Grammys, and the bass player, Chuck Berghofer who also played for Sinatra for 6 years accompanied AJ on her Christmas Show, and they stated that she had the "storytelling ability of the greats, Streisand, Fitzgerald, Vaughan, including Sinatra, to name a few. The main pianist, a five-time nominated for Grammys, Shelly Berg, stated in all his years working with the greatest vocalist, he had never encountered a talent like AJ. Did I forget to mention Jimmy Z, the famous Sax Player who worked with Rod Steward, Etta James, the Eurythmics, and Doctor Dre, was part of the band for the show? Jimmy stated that AJ was the best he has ever played for. Rob Christie Republic Records Studio Director at Universal Music Group Manhattan Beach, California played the guitar, and was the MC of the show. (I can't list the complete backgrounds on all the band members because it would take several pages to do them justice.) Angelina stated that she would rather perform than take a breath, and she has never been forced to perform, it has been her decision.

What a rendition! Her Grandma Mery produced this. Looks like she used the same store she used for her My Funny Valentine video! Her sister Juliette was the older girl. The 2 younger girls are her Uncle Mike's kids, and, 2- time Grammy winner Rob Christie on piano. What a great cover! The beehive hairstyle was to honor Priscilla Presley and the time period she met Elvis. She had the red guitar and the black outfit…one of Elvis famous looks! I was not expecting this! This was almost 4 minutes, but it flew by and felt short! Going to listen to it again! 16 years old….Wow!!! What a performance!

Allsang på Grensen 2022 in Norway. Angie’s 16 here. Love all of Angie's nods to Elvis, also his wife Priscilla & daughter Lisa Marie & Angie growing up too. Angie really out did herself on this one. She put in a lot of Elvis references, really amazing the respect & homage she paid to Elvis. Angie really blew this one away. I love what she did with this story This was filmed in the same place that she did “My funny valentine” at Melrose Gallery and Antiques in West Hollywood CA. There's a picture of (age about 1-2) baby Lisa Marie Presley on a golden couch like Angie's cousin sat on with a white dress. There was one of Lisa also (when she’s about 3) with white dress & she had curls like Angie’s other cousin Athena had (from her uncle Michael's kids). Plus it acted as a double for us watching Angie growing up. Her sister Juilette was the older one in the white dress like Angie was in, when she was 10-12 before she changed at 13 & her, her mom Sara & grandma Mery made clothes for her performances. (Angie made it modern & nostalgic at the same time. She’s emotes the story, for she is a true master story teller) The black jumpsuit & red guitar is for the welcome back tour in 1968. The hair was for Priscilla his wife, also Angie sitting on the couch. Chandeliers, mirrors & furniture was for Graceland, the Piano player Rob Christie wearing red like Elvis band members & you'll even see that Angie's (Elvis stance) put her leg out & bent like Elvis did. Angelina did a lot of homework & paid a lot of respect & gave us a lot of Easter eggs & there’s still more. As she usually does on her videos. Angelina is just amazing, beyond words & other singers/writers/artists/people. {She's Angelina Jordan Astar} The barefoot Angel with a 1000 voices. Angelina is amazing! Her voice has matured even more so; there's such a richness in her voice, so evident in this performance. This is a beautiful tribute to the memory of Elvis Presley, the silver and gold props, her leather outfit, and the red guitar and suit worn by the piano player. I think she is also paying tribute to Priscilla Presley with the bouffant hair style. Going down memory lane with their only daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, from toddler on up; I am assuming the reason for the little girls at different ages. Beautiful tribute from a lovely young lady with extraordinary vocals. You are a gift Angelina. That you ladies for a great reaction.

Like met gala, the voice, etc... - have a really good and healthy singing technique - was named the world's biggest popstar by many important magazines - have 24 Guinness records - almost all her albums went number 1 and majority of thier tracks charted in the top 100 - one of the best selling artists, despite debuting inn2013 which is the era of digital music she still sold 70-75 million records in pure sales (vinyls, cassettes, etc) - THE best selling female artist born in the 90s - THE best selling female artists who debuted in 2010s - THE best selling female artist in digital sales (when counting digital purchases of downloads and streams = 1000 streams equal one sale) And she sold more then 400 million records in digital sales, despite have just 7 albums all with less then 20 tracks. .... The list goes on. 2 angelina jordan is a GOOD singer but not impressive. Her biggest standout point is : - vocal depth/tonal quality - mid belts - low notes But she is a B+ vocalist (at best), her technique is not good or healthy, some of her notes are in an unhealthy placement. her voice also lacks vocal creativity, she doesn't show any note changes, falsetto whistles, high notes, high/upper belts, resonance, undeveloped vibrato, chest/mix voice, long/consistent notes. And she doesn't have a big range, her range is probably 3 octaves and some semitones. She's also a coloratura but still there are many coloratura singers with a wilder range and better technique like this singer named aida (i forgot her last name but she sang "the bell song" ) On the other hand ariana is : - ligh/full lyric soprano - trained Broadway singer - 5 octaves vocal range (when counting vocal fry and without counting it then its 4 octaves and 9 semitones) - have an extremely ease at higher notes - good low notes as low as the 2nd octave - well developed vibrato - falsetto - whistles - note changes - musical creativity - vocal creativity - harmonization - growl (yes she can, she doesn't do it often because it's nit her style) - resonance - chest voice - mixed voice - good mid belts - excellent upper Belts - excellent vocal switching between registers - can easily hit notes in the 7th octave ..... And more... So in the end i think the message is clear. Ariana is a better singer, more talented and more successful but the other girl is also good...

In many of Angelina's covers, she will pay tribute tto the artists of the songs she covers. In this one, she is extending homage to Elvis. She also does her arrangements or, at least, has very much input into the way her music is done. In this case, she departed from Elvis by slowing the tune down and singing it in a way the lyrics actually ask for. Elvis made it a virtual pop "dance" tune even though the lyrics are a sad, emotional and heartbreaking tale of an impending breakup and lost love. Angelina sings the song as it should be performed. This was Elvis's last number one song. In this video she is dressed as Elvis was in his " '68 Comeback Special" TV program. Leather from top to bottom. Her hair is done up in a "bee hive" style that Elvis liked his wife Pricilla to wear. The red guitar is a contemporary Hagstrom reproduction of a 1967 Viking II. Elvis had borrowed it from Al Casey, one of the session musicians of the Comeback Special band. The original guitar recently sold at auction for over $660,000. The piano and mic are like the ones in the Sun studio in Memphis, where Elvis started his recording career. The piano player is Rob Christie, a studio exec at her label, Republic Records. The young girl(s), Angelina's relatives, are a nod to Elvis's and Pricilla's kid, Lisa Marie, may God love her soul. The last segment of the children shows Angelina's sister, Juliette, as a 9 year old Lisa Marie. That was how old Lisa was when her dad died. Many reactors guess that the children in this video denotes Angelina growing up, but all the symbolisms is about Elvis and not Angelina. There is a short segment of Angelina reposing on a couch. She is wearing what look like mismatched shoes. One is blue suede, yes? Many of the antique shop artifacts, particularly the old red fabric chair in the background seem "fit for a king". The artistic production may have been by her executive producer and grandmom, Mery Zamani. Mery is a well known artist from Iran who had her hand in other Angelina artwork, including the outfit Angelina wore on "AGT the Champions" show, and the artwork on Angelina's first original Republic video "Million Miles - lyrics version". With a little help from her friends (and family), Angelina is leaving a profound legacy in the world of music and art. She is "ASTAR", literally and figuratively.

KThis is an Elvis tribute and that is young Priscilla hair the way Elvis liked it. The leather suit and red guitar are from his comeback concert in '68. She slowed down the song because that is the way she heard it in her head. The songwriter Mark James never liked what Elvis did with the song. So I think Angelina slowed it way down. Then near the end you hear the rockabilly guitar work come in a real nod to Elvis who made that sound a standard in his music. So think Elvis not Amy for this video. Ladies, if you do not have any problems with the possibility of talent coming out of Wales, I would love it if you gave a listen to 15 year old Gracie-Jayne Fitzgerald. This is a 'Live" performance of Jimmy Cliff's Blues number, 'Many Rivers To Cross'. This young lady first stole my heart with her blind audition on The Voice Kids U.K. in 2019. She sang, 'Golden Slumbers' by the Beatles. Gracie was 12 at that time and had only been singing for 17 months. I am going to give you both links. 'Golden Slumbers' is first so you could just listen to that and not listen to her other performances. All of them are 9:47 seconds long with G.S. being 2:15 seconds long.
