What about for outfield Velocity? My Pull-down is 87 but I seem to only get 84 when in the outfield

If an athlete is able to throw 3-4 MPH harder off a mound is it even worth worrying about?
@treadathletics3 жыл бұрын
Would need some more context to give you a comprehensive answer. But, hypothetically, if the athlete is throwing 3-4 mph harder off the mound after establishing pulldown gains, it is implied that pulldowns have directly impacted mechanical efficiency and/or athleticism in some capacity and should not just be cut out of programming.

Should my speeds trend the same from pulldowns to the other pulldown methods ?

Full running pulldowns are going to be higher than one step shuffles.

I’m in college and I’m trying to be a two way. I play SS and we throw everyday. Is it too much stress on my arm to add pull downs in and throw pens?

Totally individual specific based on workload capacity etc. Comes down to managing workload, test and retest. Adding additional variables can either have a positive/negative effect in the short and long term.

Why would my mound and flatground be better than my pull downs. I cant seem to produce energy from pulldowns especially since my fg and mound is harder.

definetely has to be some sort of mechanical flaw right?
@treadathletics3 жыл бұрын
Pulldowns are not for everyone, and do not always act as a mechanical anchor. The added momentum and energy can be detrimental for a lot of athletes in regards to how they capture ideal positions from the ground up. One thing to try is shorten up the amount of momentum of the pulldown transitioning into more of a 1-2 step shuffle

is it bad that there is no velo difference between my pulldown and on mound
@treadathletics3 жыл бұрын
Totally individual specific, the key is to identify where the breakdown is occurring not only in pulldowns but on the mound as well. In this specific case, with no disparity between pulldowns and mound velo, it is safe to assume that there is a major mechanical breakdown occurring with the increase in momentum.

When I warm up in front of the mound I throw hard with low effort, but the second I step on the mound I throw slower instantly. What could be the cause of it and what should I do?

Are you throwing off of flat ground in front of the mound or with your back foot still on the slope?
@kyletheflameseeker2877 Жыл бұрын
@@treadathletics Flat ground.

Your mechanics are synced up to flat ground right now. The most common disconnect is flying open because you're synced up to land earlier than when you get on the mound. Check out this video if you haven't already: kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWGZpWaja82LeZY
