Hi everyone! I recently tried out Posca Pens for the first time and thought it would be exciting to see how they look alongside Copic Markers on the same drawing! This was such a fun sketchbook project and I really hope you enjoy watching the video. Be sure to let me know what you think of the drawing! And also, please let me know if you have any art video suggestions that I could work on. I wanted to also say a big thank you for all of the amazing support! It truly does mean a lot to me. I hope you're all doing well and I hope you're having a great day. :) -Chris

That was and is really cool man, just a thought however. I Think I would be interesting to use the copics for the natural pieces of the environment. The skull, the butterfly, the leaves, etc. and use the Posca for the more unnatural cybernetics. Before the background was added I thought the contrast was rather striking. Not that the picture isn't striking mind you, I'm fumbling a bit here but I'm hoping this is somehow helpful criticism and not the ravings of a mad man. :)

So many kinds of contrast one one picture: • Skull (organic but lifeless) / robotic parts (non-organic and lifeless) / leaves and butterfly (organic and alive) • Smooth gradients of copic markers / blocks of color made with Posca • Gray-ish foreground with heavy yellow parts / bright, colorful background • Different amount of details And somehow it all fits together without looking especially chaotic.

I get some kind of Anime/Cartoon vibe from this. Espacially from to POSCA's for the hard shadows and lines. All in All it seems like you took a realistic drawing and montaged it with cartoony additions. PRETTY pretty nice! Surreal and Real mixes so well in this piece.

Hi Chris!! 👋😎👋 First off, you are such an amazing artist! I love watching you create. Second, I am so, so sorry your cat passed, my lab of 14 yrs also died not so long ago. It's hard, I don't thing we ever completely get over it, thinking of her can bring a lump up. But Chris, thinking of her can bring smiles also, what we shared lasted so long and there are so many memories of the good times. The pain of missing her can always be there, but it becomes more distant and it is much easier to switch to a good memory when I start feeling sad. I hope this happens for you as well. I definitely think those two pens/markers go well together, especially with the way you put them to use. Looking at this drawing at the end, I had this flash of switching it around totally. What I mean by that is to have the butterfly sitting in front, maybe sitting on a branch. In the wing area is a skull with similar mechanized attachments. Behind the butterfly is a very busy, intricate cityscape, in and around your circle background. It's not something I would draw myself, but I can see you doing it to perfection! Love your artwork and glad you have a channel for sharing with us!! Thanks!!
