Based on your recommendation I replaced the tubes with the tubeless system last summer, It has clearly been one of the best things I have done, my bike is much better than I am but if I can make the bike safer to ride and more comfortable so I can stay on the bike longer, that is a win-win. thanks for your help.

I’ve been running Nutech tubliss for 8 years. Luckily I’ve only had three major incidents with tire punctures or out right 2 to 3 inch gash set in by rocks. First time didn’t even notice until I was halfway back to the truck, the next two times I picked up on it a little earlier because I recognize the feeling of a soft tire but still had no issues getting back to the vehicle safely, under control and with confidence. It’s a great product.

Running tubliss on my WR250R and last weekend in the snow 0PSI was amazing, its also nice to be able to airdown on the trails then airup on the road, keeps your tires lasting longer.

I've been running tubliss for a year now in my rear tire. I still use tubes in my front simply because I have yet to buy one for it and UHD tubes aren't too bad. I do want to make the switch eventually. I can honestly say that the hookup in the rear is ridiculous and for a 450 is very welcomed. Being able to plant power to the ground makes for great riding.

Great videos. I would like to again request a nuetech nitro mousse video comparing that to the tubeless. Most riders in my area ride and race mousse, eliminating the chance of a flat and puncture repair. This allows them to race a ride lighter by not having to pack pump or flat repair kits and tools for their tire change if they don’t have tubeless. Thanks keep the great videos coming.

I've run tubliss in my rear wheel for two or three years (Sedona mx907 flat) and I just fitted my new TE 300 with TuBliss up front too. I actually just re-mounted the factory front tire, despite the warnings to only use fresh tires, it has worked just fine - but I only had a few hours on the bike when I did it.

I race Moto and recently set up one of my wheels with Tubliss, as of right now I don't think I will ever have a bike without it. The benefits are many, traction, acceleration, cornering, braking, Moto concrete starts off-camber sections there's just not a downside to the Tubliss system. And also now I'm thinking about trying other cheaper tires because with as much traction you get it you may not need to run the more expensive tires.

I have TUbliss in both my Trail 18" and MX 19" rear wheels, in my trail bike, I love it! It's the best thing since sliced bread lol, in the MX bike, not so much, it was good over winter, but it's summer here in New Zealand, and the tracks I use the most have alot of high speed small jumps, and the wheels get a hard time, the inner 110psi will get pinch flats around the deflector triangle rubber block(the thing the tube goes around) I will put it back on my MX bike next winter, but for summer, I'm back to tubes, as changing the inner tube is a day ender.

Quick tip for those punctures try to run something like orange sealant. It sticks to the inside of your tire so when a rock does puncture your sidewall or tread it will fill that puncture and seal it. I have gotten a nail stuck in my tire and it sealed around the nail and i finished the stage.

I have a Husky 701 and need to ride around 2 hours to get to dirt. I don't think I will deflate the tires two much, more interested in not needing to carry tubes. do you ride on the highway on a regular basis? This is my regular riding bike so I am likely 70-30 highway-dirt.

The only thing I think that can compete with the Tubliss system is the Michelin Bib Mousse. One thing I would be concerned about with the Tubliss is puncture flats, while using a bib, you wouldn't have that, but the Tubliss also allows for much more adjustable feel. I don't know I use Bibs and I love them, but that system looks really good too.

I've been running trials tires with low air pressure for years, it felt like you put a few more teeth on the back sprocket when I put it on. Only disadvantage is if a trials tire gets a flat, they have no side wall like a dirt tire that has a stiff side wall, so you do ride directly on the rim.

+Dirt Bike Channel. Have you run on mousse at any point and if so, what is your opinion between mousse and TUbliss? Usually I run 4mm Michelin tube and I actually never pinched one in my 5y of driving but then again I always take them apart from time to time and lubricate them with tire-paste. And then when I do these amateur races, I always use mousse -Just do not want to end the race to to a flat tire. Never used TUbliss -not so common here but I think I might make that investment even if they do cost about 90$ over here they seem to have a longer lifespan then mousse which has the same price tag.

the plug you use in the case of getting a hole. Are they the car tire type plugs? or are they designed for the purpose of offroad? I`m looking at running tubliss as i just went through 2 extra heavy duty front tubes in two weekends, maybe 4 hours total on the 2. very rocky trail and now that i am getting faster on it seems that`s whats causing my flats. I`ve adjusted front suspension but don`t think that would be the cause.

Just buy some ATV plugs after installing Tubliss. Get a little rubber cement to put on them to help them seal and you'll be good to go.

Hey, Kyle...put a bunch of sand bags on the legs of your tire stand, or bolt it down!! You shouldn't have to fight the stand. I change tires on a barrel with the lid cut off, with rubber tubing on the upper lip, and full of rocks to hold it down.

Just wanted to say thanks for all the information, and I was wondering your opinion on the bike a choose I'm a really big guy 6'4 290lbs would a 300cc 2 stroke pull my big ass around well or would I be better suited on a bigger bike like a 450-500
@DirtBikeChannel
@DirtBikeChannel 9 жыл бұрын
+Justin Anderlik I prefer the 300 over the 450 in nearly every instance (and I own both). Having said that, the 450 does make a little more power overall and that would be helpful if you weigh almost 300 lbs. I'd look to see if you can ride both first before buying it. That would help make your decision.

@DirtBikeChannel
@DirtBikeChannel 8 жыл бұрын
+David Lockhart Commence A/B test in 3... 2.... 1.... go: Mousse bib = heavy. TUbliss = light. Mousse bib = no tire pressure adjustment. TUbliss = can vary tire pressure. Result of A/B test = TUbliss is the winner. Done :) How was that? Maybe a more serious test in the future, but for now, I'm in love with TUbliss and don't have any good reasons to move over to Mousse.

I'm going to be installing the Tubliss system in my bike soon but I have almost new tires on my bike already. I've "heard" that you can't install a tubliss with a tire that has been used with rim locks and tubes. Is this true and have you installed a tubliss using a use tire?

Looks like changing a tire is a real pain in the ass with the Tubeless though? Takes me about 6 minutes to change a regular tire with the Baja No-Pinch tool and haven't really had any flats either racing (zero while racing) enduro or recreational riding ( 2 I can remember) in 30 years. Also it seems difficult to get the tire to sit inside the rim for install ? Y/N? Not that i'm against the system I just have trouble seeing the benefits. If I was riding in an area where cactus was I problem I would likely run mousse

I ran tubliss on my DRZ and while it worked great, eventually the rear tubliss wouldn't hold air anymore. i attribute this to the fact that the wheels had about 7k miles on them before i tried the tubliss and the seal just wasn't very good due to the rubber residue on the wheel. I also dualsported them at highway speeds which i'm sure didn't help. That being said i was out on the trails when it wouldn't hold air anymore and after riding it with the outer chamber completely flat(inner tube at 110psi) the read sheath became extremely worn against the tire after riding around 30 miles or so of it flat. The outer sheath was totally annihilated and unusable. That being said my rim was not bent at all(on a 320lb bike) even while doing log hop and hitting rocks. Probably going to give tubliss another shot on my Beta as it's a much lighter bike compared to the DRZ.

+LIvlogs 7000 miles on a dirt bike tire isn't really normal. These are for off road use.

+Dirt Bike Channel that wasn't all on one tire, I probably was on my 3rd tire at 7k miles and put the tubliss on with a new tire. On the contrary my buddy has tubliss on his 250l that had much less mileage and they have been holding up well even with road use. They simply need to be pumped up to ~15 psi for the roads. And they also need a balance.

Agreed Tubliss are amazing - Tyre changing is much easier - But you need some new DECENT Tyre levers / spoons buddy - with those little things you're making it hard work ! get 3 or 4 decent long spoons and you'll do it in a minute flat ! Well done on the Vids :-)

Seriously, I'm riding on a super tight budget and have to ride on my tires till they are nearly unusable. If you wanted to ship one of those up to Ogden maybe once a year I'd pay the shipping and another $10 or $15.

+EreksonJ We all make sacrifices and priorities - even Kyle. Make your own sacrifice if you want to acquire these tubes and don't beg for someone else to fill your need. It makes you look less-than-desirable to ride with.

osimnod Hey buddy, you don't even know me. You don't know my financial situation or what kind of situation I'm in. You don't know what I sacrifice to go riding. A typical tire place CHARGES $15 to dispose of a tire. What's wrong with asking to PAY for something that would otherwise be thrown away? Please leave your judgmental attitude to yourself.
@osimnod
@osimnod 9 жыл бұрын
+EreksonJ You're right, I don't know you or your financial situation. We all make sacrifices to ride - cost of fuel, gear, maintenance, place to ride, spare parts and ... tires. Do you know for a fact that Kyle was just going to throw that tire away in the condition it's in or was he just demonstrating his preference of TUbliss? And where was I judgmental?
@EreksonJ
@EreksonJ 9 жыл бұрын
It seems like you view me as some kind of freeloader. You tell me to "make my own sacrifice" as if I don't make sacrifices to go riding. I was simply offering to buy this used tire for $15. I know he was done with it because he frequently talks about running a fresh tire in his videos. I don't view this as being a bother or "begging" at all. All he has to do is say "no" or just ignore my comment if he doesn't want to deal with me. No bad feelings, no awkwardness. Now if I had asked for something for free, that would be a different story...
@EreksonJ
@EreksonJ 9 жыл бұрын
+osimnod After reading my original post, I see now that I never made it clear that I was looking to purchase his used tire, or even a tire at that. If that was your original source of confusion, I can see why you made your initial comment... Asking to pay $15 for anything else in the video would be quite rude...
