I like to add one tip to this if you loosen the cap of the break cylinder container and it will make pushing the cylinder alot easier.

You forgot to grease brake pad contact points. And it is good to bleed the brake fluid.Used the old pad to push back the caliper....
@BluelightGaming17 жыл бұрын
Larry Bui you don't really need to bleed the brakes but he didn't put a single bit of great anywhere which is bad.
@GMac547 жыл бұрын
Bluelight Gaming not entirely necessary as the pads had an anti squeak backing pad. Some mechanics apply grease to the pad guides, others don't.
@BluelightGaming17 жыл бұрын
Gary McNicol regardless there are other contact points that should have been greased.
@johnwalsh5187 жыл бұрын
Larry Bui You don't need to bleed brakes unless you have had a leak releasing the break cylinder cap will push any excess air out the top of the cylinder.
@gordonbennett44536 жыл бұрын
think you mean put pipe on bleeder nipple ,pipe into bleeder bottle ,open bleeder nipple push back piston with old pad, close nipple,clean ends of pads that slide in carrier,also clean and lubricate calliper slide spindles.

should say always depress the brake pedal after fitting new pads to take up slack, and centralize everything. If you don't do this first time you drive and brake you will go straight through the car in front

By caliper piston compressor, you mean a c clamp and a block of wood right? Also, it's good to mention to remove the brake fluid cap, as the excess will need somewhere to go, then top off after completion.

Any decent human being would change the disc along with the pads surely I know it's a cost but if your doing it yourself on a car likes yours it'll cost no more then 50quid I mean using the micrometer for the disc check is great practice but just change them a life is worth more then a disc
