As I read that and realized how fast time has gone by I got sent back in a flash back of me with my younger cousin as kids driving out to the country to get it with our grandma at a rural Walmart since the switch was so hard to get on release.. ❤. I think people need to reconsider characters with bombs vs Steve, because they're actually pretty damn good against him. Hurt demonstrated this perfectly with Snake, and I believe that the Links and Shiek also stand a chance

@duff137 Last year Spargo announced he wanted to go to Japan and sub goaled. Someone gave him the full amount in less than 24hrs. So Spargo didnt lose any money on his trip. I promise you if Tweek or even Light did the same thing something similar would happen. But no top 10 player has ever tried it.

Miya vs tamapi and both sets of acola vs hurt were the matches with the highest stakes because if Miya lost he would have to fight zackray and potentially hurt would win the tournament with him gone and if hurt did not double eliminate acola than Miya would have lost making it acolas third p tier event win but since acola lost it was the first tournament that he lost even today after that tournament I could not stop talking about Hurt especially when he broke acolas shield. Hurt against acola was like watching a god fall to his knees it was crazy. I know that Steve is broken but acola is so broken that Steve is an extension to himself that is ridiculous. I think hurt and Miya won the event I never felt so good about the person who got second place at a Japanese major in a long time.

I wish I could talk to tweek about the reboot argument. For starters, I am not in the camp of getting a reboot. However given Sakurai said it would be difficult to bring all these characters together again, I understand where people are coming from. I think people have different ideas of what a "reboot" is. When I hear people talk about it, I definitely do not think as few as 20 characters. But cutting some characters and putting new ones in, isn't farfetched. It is difficult to follow the branding of Ultimate, but in the end... eventually characters will be cut. I don't think smash from now on will forever keep adding characters because the last game had them all. This situation reminds me of the whole national dex controversy. The roster is gonna get so big, it's going to be unrealistic to keep them all. I'm sure Tweek would agree that eventually characters would get cut, maybe it's just not the game immediately following Ultimate. All that being said, let's go Ultimate Deluxe. I'm fasho getting Noah from Xenoblade 3 and it's lit

Master Chief would mean a lot because he's just that guy in terms of gaming icons. My personal absolute most wanted pick would be Kiryu from the Yakuza/Like a Dragon games though. The music goes too hard and there's a lot of potential for his kit with the different fighting styles you use in those games.

6:30, to clarify, Reggie Fils-Aime specified, in his book "Disrupting the Game", that the idea for the Switch came from how everyone who owned the Wii U loved the off screen play functionality. So while the system was a commercial success it was an astounding success in giving Nintendo direction in where to go moving forward. But yes, I get your point, the Wii and Wii U are a pair, DS and 3DS are a pair. Also, the podcasters most likely are already aware but for the uninitiated, Mashed Potato Samurai is the biggest Fire Emblem fanboy in the world. Outside of marketing with Smash, he covered for Iwata on an Iwata Asks interview for FE Shadow Dragon on the DS, and was the MC for their 25th FE series anniversary concert. His love for FE is backfiring on him now lol since Intelligent Systems begged him to put in Corrin and then Nintendo asked him to put in Byleth (I don't buy that he couldn't say no, no matter how much he tries to push the blame on Nintendo for the decision). This is the most indepth Miya discussion and analysis I've ever seen on this podcast. While everyone else is talking about NA not showing up in top 8, Spargo falling to ranking obsession (and Japanese players studying up specifically for him) and Leo not SDIing properly, this was a much welcome, informative, and unique discussion. And for Smash picks: Possible: Mega Man.EXE (Battle Network series), Paper Mario NEVER EVER (but pls samurai have mercy): the good girl gone bad: Hibiki Takane (Last Blade 2, also crossover to Capcom vs SNK and Samurai Shodown) And... for the FE Slot: Gullveig (Fire Emblem Heroes), she's possible, but lower in priority to other characters like the next FE Lord of the next title or Veronica, the first villain of FEH.

I think it's a little naive to think that any console or game will do as well as anything on the switch. The next console and all it's games need to work to distinguish themselves from their prior counterparts. The reason why deluxe editions probably won't work well for anything is that, I can play the same game now on my switch. Mario kart 8 deluxe only succeeded because the Wii U as a whole failed and no one had one. But does anyone think that smash ultimate 1.5 is gonna sell anywhere near 15mil? Or even 10mil? I highly doubt it

Not overrated at all.zackray said other event except Kagaribi is just practice for Kagaribi,and got he actually got top5 at all Kagaribi he attend.If he focus on tournaments he can get top8 everytime.

I’ve said it before: when Miya plays at his best he’s on a level above anyone or anything else we’ve seen in Ultimate. If I he can find that gear more consistently then I can’t see who will stop him.
