@@songbird6414 I wonder if this was a shakedown by a conman. As other people have mentioned, felonies are public records. A person who's well off and completely clean for a decade is probably the most inclined to keep it that way, and probably very susceptible to a request for a bribe. A "parole officer" coming by for a "random checkup" saw the pregnant wife, and decided to run with that. My bet is that if the family stuck around, they would have had a follow-up where the person made an offer to make the problem go away. Or it could be a stakeout for a robbery, when the wife was in the hospital giving birth. Still horrifying, but better than an abduction. (Equally horrifying is that there are easier ways to traffic children than this.)
@bri_x_p9553
@bri_x_p9553 3 жыл бұрын
That's not really how trafficking rings operate. I saw a case almost identical to this one, that ended way worse. The CPS imposter just wanted the baby to try to keep an ex she had told she was pregnant. Unfortunately she was able to kill the expectant mother before anyone involved was even slightly suspicious. This woman didn't even have charges, so I'm not even sure how she got so much personal info. But definitely terrifying that this method is gaining traction. . .

The “case worker” and the information she gave to the pregnant mother sounded fishy already just from the post. So I’m looking this up and if for any reason you happen to be approached by DCS you can always: 1. Ask for Identification 2. Ask what the Allegations are 3. CONSULT YOUR LAWYER BEFORE RESPONDING TO DCS (You’re also entitled to a free court appointed attorney FYI) 4. DO NOT HAVE TO LET DCS IN (they can always get a court order if they want to see your home) 5. Get any copies of warrants and orders And my source also said you’re allowed to record any interaction however, I think that’s a lot more difficult with states that have 2 consent recording laws. It’s easy to see why OP or anyone for that matter could fall for a scammer like this. Just like police, I don’t let anyone in my home. I don’t say nothing. No hablo ingles, gracias.

And while she was saying it, she was smiling wickedly at my sister. She got a sadistic thrill from watching my sister panic. Thankfully, my sister ended up with both her kids. Wow, this sounds literally identical to a case I saw on ID, except that case had a much more grim ending. That CPS imposter found the expectant mother in a pregnancy fb group, and wanted the baby to try to keep an ex she had told she was pregnant. Unfortunately she killed the expectant mother before she got suspicious. The most ridiculous part is that since her and the victim weren't of the same race, the killer's ex (that she was trying to win back) reportedly took one look at the baby and said: "That baby is not mine. Get a DNA test" and left! In the end it was the killers own family who turned her in. So how this woman thought she'd get away with it, when everyone in her life was sketched out by her [fake] 'pregnancy' is a unbeknownst to me. . .

It is scary. I remember listening to a story (can't remember who's channel it was on, sorry!) but it was basically about the scariest things that have ever happened to people. This woman posted about her experience, and basically her, her husband and her infant child went grocery shopping. The husband stayed outside with the baby in the pram whilst the wife ran in to pick up a few things. Some random woman comes up to the pram and without a word, snatches the baby out of the pram and tries to power walk out of there. The husband/father obviously gets frantic and tries to chase the woman down, but all the bystanders think it's a man harassing a woman and trying to grab her baby. So they pin the dude down and somebody calls the cops. The mother hears the commotion and comes outside to see what's happening and ends up getting the baby off the stranger. Stranger jumps into a car with it's engine running and they speed off. Now, I don't know if it's been verified because why would the woman lift the baby and leave the pram while the man is sitting next to it and losing his shit? Maybe people thought it was a domestic abuse situation or something but it's a frightening thought. Like, if his wife hadn't heard and come out to investigate, that baby would be gone. An overlooked fact in child trafficking is that women are often used because they're more trustworthy. I remember being lost as a kid myself, and I would exclusively only approach women for help. Again, don't know if that story is true, but it wouldn't be the most surprising thing I've heard in my life.

Sadly, I didn’t doubt for a second that this was a real social worker, so I was actually surprised by the ending lol. Guess I’ve watched too many “CPS kidnapped my child” plea videos, many including footage of CPS agents w/police, being super shady. It’s nice to believe they always want what’s best for the kids, but sadly, in some areas it’s more about meeting a child placement quota so as to receive state funding - similar to how some schools don’t give a crap if the kids understand or even learn basic material, as long as they rote memorize what’s needed for useless standardized tests! With CPS, once you’re in “the system” - even if it was due to a totally false, mistaken, or malicious report - getting you and your family off of CPS’s radar can be like trying to _prove your innocence_ in a murder trial that has insufficient evidence. Proving your innocence means a disturbing power differential from the very start...and it sure isn’t slanted in your favor. Not to go too far down the rabbit hole, I’ll leave you with this: before her sudden death, senator Nancy Schaefer was aggressively looking into “CPS kidnappings,” families being torn apart, and the suspect nature of running child welfare like a business. After four years of investigation, she’d published her report entitled “The Corrupt Business of Child Protective Services,” and I’ve even heard whispers of a documentary. Then, soon after publishing, Nancy and her husband were found dead in what was eventually ruled a murder-suicide, despite no motive ever being uncovered.

I'm not even shocked to read a comment like this and I'm glad someone acknowledged that CPS/DCS isn't the best. I see so many people, even on KZbin, make it seem like they care about the children In reality, they don't. Especially in my experience. Hell, CPS was investigating my Stepdad for sexual abuse yet still left me in the household with him even after he admitted it. Then they sent a family therapist, who basically told me to "take responsibility"...i.e; She blamed me for being sexually abused. CPS didn't do anything honestly, the police and my Stepdad's CP collection is really the only reason I'm out of that shit. Not CPS/DCS. I hate to say it, but I would never suggest anyone rely on them lmao

Weirdly women do a lot of infant kidnapping. Im not sure how said imposter would’ve got the baby out of the hospital given the security system in place today. This story is kinda old memories so the details might be off- There was a case where a child was taken in a Jacksonville hospital and raised in South Carolina. The kidnapper pretended to be a nurse. She was apparently loved and taken care of but found out when she was applying to something. It was tragic because she lost the only mother she knew, her bio mom was dead, and her bio dad wasn’t traveling on the high road. It was just kinda tragic. And it felt like there was no justice for anyone

I know of a dad who had to win custody of his kid through court, because CPS was perfectly happy to leave her with her mom in bad living conditions with drugs being consumed at that time. So the notion that CPS would preventively plan to take away a baby that hasn't even been born yet for some petty crime my partner committed as a teenager is completely insane. Baseball bat, kick them out, tell them I've just taken flakka. Unless they come with a warrant, they are banned from my home.

This is a very well covered topic for a very good reason, the sad reality is - this isn't super uncommon. Abductions at birth are SO common it's not even funny. The sick thing? There is a market for this, usually it's because someone is aware of a "good looking couple" having a child, they're targeted by those who cannot have their own child, but would like to off the record, have a child without it being "adopted", these whole abductions at birth on average run for $1mln.. The more people are aware of this, the better, so I'm really glad a lot of youtubers are covering this.
