My Everse arrived last week and I'm also using the EW-D's. Yes, for me the ceremony is generally most stressful because it's just GOT to be right. I usually relax a bit after the ceremony is complete. I also got the Flex stand and it's gorgeous. I also use it for large displays. I run into comb filtering when using two lavaliers...do you run into that? I'm currently using an external mixer so I can duck manually, but I know the Everse has that feature built in. Requires a little work around, but I need to test that. The subwoofer out is also great, in addition to the Bluetooth linking. I'm excited to do that at some point in the future.
@NukePooch1 Жыл бұрын
Really digging the EW-D dual receiver and the Chauvet Flex stand... I like this setup. Comb filtering is a given when two mics are near 1 sound source. You're right to keep one low until they speak (generally the groom). I'd be afraid the ducker will audibly cut in/out when someone speaking on the threshold, it's meant for music, not sure about speech. There isn't a subwoofer out on the Everse, it's the same as most EV gear, the output is not affected by any DSP. Also, the bluetooth linking is just for phone audio, it won't pass inputs 1/2. Might be ok for background music only applications.
@loudandcleartexas906 Жыл бұрын
@@NukePooch1wow... If the Bluetooth connection doesn't pass all inputs to a second speaker, that's not good. I guess you'd need to run a cable to it, and that would work, right?
@NukePooch1 Жыл бұрын
@@loudandcleartexas906 Yep, wired is the way to go. Bluetooth will only pass the BT signal, might be ok for background music only applications, as long as the source device was kept close/in the middle of the two speakers... Since BT is a consumer standard, it shouldn't be relied on for gigs. Run XLR cable, or use a proper wireless setup.

Thanks for sharing this informative video and for all the work you do to give back and help others. I just had one quick question; typically a mixer would be used here with a ceremony, so I was just curious one you would handle feed back in case a mic user went too close to the speaker or how you would adjust for soft spoken users speakers at the event (without a mixer, or is there a way to get one into this wireless setup)?

I would not put a microphone receiver on top of a speaker exposed to direct sunlight. I would use a small roadcase with a glide tray. Permanently install the receiver into the road case and you’re good to go and can set everything up in under 5 minutes. I also keep my halo bolt power supply and a small mixer inside my ceremony case so if anything fails I have a backup in place.

I still use a Yamaha MG12 external mixer powered with a Jackery 240 because I like the extra control. I love having a gain control and pre fader listen to see exactly how much signal is coming in from the mic and being able to adjust it. I love light compression on the mics to keep the voice nice and even, and I love instant access to every control. The low cut filter is also great. But the Everse has all that, which is amazing. I’m often asked to make announcements at the end of the ceremony, so that’s easy, as well as plugging in additional readers or vocalists. It is more to setup and connect, but flexibility it great. I’m excited to get more familiar with the Everse and maybe use the mixer on it more. Super convenient and incredible features.

Hello. There is one question that haunts me! While charging the speaker, which is first turned off by the on/off toggle switch, sometimes after 10-15 minutes the LCD display may blink, not always and not often, but sometimes it happens until it is fully charged. You may not notice it right away. But I noticed and I don't understand if it should be like this or if it's not normal. The speaker is brand new. It was bought 1.5 months ago. But this phenomenon manifested itself immediately. The first time, it was about 75% charged. I was charging at 100% and accidentally saw this. There were no such LCD speakers before, so I do not know if this is normal for them or not. And what about your column and what about others who will read this question? Is this blinking happening? I wanted to find out. Thank you.
