Just the right amount of workout for those of us who love hitting the heavy bag. Went to Title Boxing for a year or more and to an actual boxing gym for 2 months. Doing it at home now since I got my heavy bag up and a real hi-quality speed bag. Been training with this for a couple months now, hopefully be ready for Round 2 pretty soon!

GREAT QUALITY.TODAY I DID 33 MINUTES STRAIGHT NO BREAKS NEVER NEVER NEVER 2 SECONDS BETWEEN ANY PUNCHES.I HAVE A BELLY AND IM 63 YEARS OLD.IM HOPING ITS A GOOD ATHLETIC ACCOMPLISHMENT.I DONT KNOW HOW LONG I CAN KEEP IT UP.I THANK SWIMMING SPRINTS.I MIX LIGHT MEDIUM HARD THROUGHOUT WORKOUT.MY FAVORITE IS AFTER A HARD SEQUENCE I TRAIN TO RECOVER WHILE STILL WORKING.I DO LIGHT DUMBELLS BEFORE AND AFTER.WITHIN 35 MINUTES OF BAG I WAS SWIMMING.SPRINTS TODAY WERE A LITTLE WEAK. Been cardio boxing since 2014 and these workouts have raised my game for sure. I would always do the 8 Three minute rounds with a one minute break in between for years. The way Nate does it is much harder and also more rewarding when you finish.

Ultimate 20 Minute Heavy Bag Workout. Round 1 - loving this for workouts after work. Just started learning boxing this summer with a personal trainer.... always wanted to learn and needed a new form of exercise. At my age I am not looking for the ring... unless there is a over 50 for women league lol. This workout allows me to work up a sweat... fire all those muscles up and get back to other responsibilities in no time. Thanks.. I am a new follower and look forward to watching and learning from the other videos.

I love this routine! I’ve added it into my weekly rotation to replace my plyometric workouts in my current plan to avoid overuse of the muscles and joints I use in plyos. I took a handful of classes at ilovekickboxing before the pandemic, so I’m a beginner, but this challenges and conditions me physically and mentally. Also, your voiceover is perfect. Right words at the right time, and very encouraging. Thank you for this!

Stil enjoying this awesome heavy bag workout . At the beginning (6 months) ago , i was exhausted after this workout, nowadays because of repetition i do this one easily full power added by heavy bag tabatta. Sick workout. Got off work and hopped online to see what workouts I could try on my bag. This was perfect. Intense and enjoyable right to the end. Good tips and calling times throughout the video to keep up with. Definitely wanting to try out more as days roll by.

***** No lie. Since I last commented on this - I haven't done any running whatsoever since probably a year ago. And even before then while I was in the military, I was never able to run a mile and a half without god damn near DYING. After doing this work-out consistently, following your tips and some of JT Van V's on the heavy bag; I was able to run a mile and a half last night without getting tired whatsoever. I could have kept going if I wanted, but I had to go to work. All I gotta' say is, I love being able to follow along with the video. This right here. Works. 100% My cardio has NEVER been this great. Please make more of these awesome videos. Sincerely - A former couch potato

Still been cosistently using the workout on the heavy bag, and I've taken it and modified it a bit to make it a 30 minute workout since I think I've grown used to the 20 minute one. I'm a woman and i really want to be able to work out like this at home. I just purchased a 100 lb bag, with a speed bag, cotton wraps, a stand, MMA gloves and 12 oz boxing gloves. I have been looking at your videos and, I even downloaded the Boxing Coach on my phone for Android. I am also subscribed to your channel. I am dead serious about this. I want to lose 50lbs. I have started to eat much, much better. I have cut out all sweets, I am eating organic foods and lean meats and veggies, I want a real serious workout. I use to be a runner until I ran into problems with my feet and I had to have several surgeries because of the running. I am able to exercise the way I want, but I can do this! Now that I am up in age (early 50's) I want to get a real serous workout and get serious about my body. I want my body to go the limit and I know I can do this. What are your best suggestions for maximum workout and weight loss? Until I receive my equipment, I want to work the Ultimate 20 Minute Workout that you have. Wow! Its great! I know soreness will be in my future, but I know its all worth it. Please give me any suggestion that you might have to assist me. Thank you.

awesome thanks for that. just tried it out on day one of owning a new bag and gloves. had a bit left in me so did it twice. I dont think I'll wear a shirt next time; I've never sweat so much much ever. Beats running for cardio hands down

Nate, honestly I love your heavy bag workouts. It’s great for my overall stress management and weight management. Use to be a boxer, got busy with life, got lazy and had multiple excuses. Thanks a lot for this guys I've found it very useless indeed for my bag workouts. I only have a stationary bag on a stand that's a bit shorter than I am BUT I can still do everything that you've shown here. I'm a fit man and a qualified Personal Fitness Trainer and this has added to my fitness workouts that I do (Hill Sprints, Burpees, Shuttle runs etc) - I am long time fan of boxing since I was a boy in the early 70s.....My Dad is also boxing obsessed and taught me how to box well . You guys have beautiful sharp straight crisp shots with your weight and momentum in them all....nice tight/compact punches. You're obviously top boxing men with all the knowledge. 10/10 for this guys. Regards. Tony (Sydney, Australia)

Great training video. Just a slight criticism.. the background music is very annoying and distracting. I think the only sound that is needed is the contact of the gloves on the bag.

Agreed. The only music necessary is the beat of gloves/feet/elbows/knees hitting the heavy bag. Make your OWN music

Otherwise, a great video. I often come across proclaimed boxing instructors that I spot as wannabees immediately after a few punches are thrown but these guys at Nate Bower's are the real deal.
No that's you're opinion not criticism, that music helps people keep up with the tempo.

For those of you saying he doesn't look like he boxes, he punches too low etc. I am sure it is just for a good cardio workout. He doesn't say you can get your boxing skills from this. I want to thank you for this video. Had it on in my Gym (it's a garage really) and followed it. Only thing is I paused it to have a longer rest as I am not as young as I used to be, and I loved it. This is great for fitness and a lot of fun too.

have you considered doing some more videos, same sort of thing but a different set, I use your video when i'm training at the gym and its excellent for the heavy bag but I want something different to mix things up a bit, the 20-30 min format is ideal and this is a really popular video so I think another one would get loads of views like this one does

My personal KICKboxing training: *5 minutes weight training for the arms. *5 minutes kickboxing with leg weights. * 9 rounds of 90 seconds all out and 30 seconds rest I do this 1-2 times a day

Using 10.5oz gloves, 5'6 female @152lbs, 21-23% BF, what do you think the calorie burn is if I kept up with you the whole workout? Beginner boxer for the past 3 months but lifetime athlete and I run a mile @ 6:30 if that helps at all haha.

Got a heavy bag needed a workout typed in "Ultimate Heavy bag workout" and bobs your uncle first hit was this and its awesome just what a 40+ dude needs not to heavy not to light, perfect workout for a minimalist(lazy/old). Coupled with my old school calisthenics workout made my own Home Full Body Boxing Workout Programme Mon,Wed,Fri Jump rope warm up 3 x 3min rounds, with 60sec RI between rounds.( Building up to 10mins straight) Ultimate Heavy Bag Workout 20mins Chins, Dips pyramid 2,4,6,8,10,8,6,4,2=50 reps each Total reps combined 100
