Ultra running documentary : Bob Graham

As someone who has done the Bob Graham I'm always a little suspicious of people making films about their attempt. They never seem to capture the spirit of the day, or the sacrifices that the support crew make to help someone realise their dream.....but this film did. Kristina comes across as a down to earth lass, who's truly humbled that virtual strangers have come out to support her on the 5 different legs. And that's what's so special about The Bob Graham, the ethos of helping people realise their dreams. A great film!

I've done the Bob Graham, too, and the title definitely had me a bit wary of this film. Fell running and ultra running are very different cultures despite the superficial similarities. The respect shown to the history and ethos of fell running here was clear to see. Congratulations on your achievement and joining the club!

I spent (longer than I care to admit) searching for a female Bob vid. I absolutely loved this, and the way it captures so much of what I love about the outdoors culture in the Lakes and elsewhere that I've had the pleasure to experience. You've really manage to articulate so much of what lies in the heart of all of us adventurers, and also highlighted something that's really difficult to capture in the wonderful sense of community that exists. I’ve been binge watching Bob Graham rounds and after 3-4 this week I stumbled onto yours. This is my favourite so far. Loved your spirit and the huge smile you had on your face for most of the round. Completely agree, one can become a great runner without being genetically gifted for it. But it takes a drive, consistency, dedication and more than anything a love for the process as much as the races. Congrats to all the pacers and crew here too. Great to see them getting their dues here.

What a wonderful hour watching from a distant Christchurch in NZ. Loved your laidback but totally respectful and onto it approach to the effort. I grew up in the Lakes in the 70s and privileged to meet Joss Naylor in 2009. Friend John Fitch, from our South island, written into the green BG book. Come over our way once the world settles down. We have superb terrain and great events.

I am convinced, absolutely convinced that Bob Graham must have been a sadomasochist. To create something like that, and then encourage others to beat his time I can think of no other wording or reason. That said, well done Bob. You have created something so special and so challenging that so many have tried, failed and succeeded at that deserved a massive dollop of praise. As a walker more than a runner, and knowing the Lakes quite well, I can only feel humbled. Anyone that can even try this, let alone complete it, deserves the highest praise. To all involved in running, filming and producing this video. THANK YOU. I feel suitably inspired and I shall use 46:39 as an inspiration - I shall go and have a banana before heading out on this snowy day on Dartmoor.

Hi Søren and Michael! I ran the BG Round in Hoka Speedgoats with the rocket plate in them, good grip and cushion. Leg leg I had the Torrent on which has a bit sharper grip if that makes sense :)
