Uncapped AOE On a Fire-Cat Build? (Project Ascension - Season 9)

Many of you requested i start doing build guides, so here is a cat build with uncapped AOE. It can be a bit expensive on the cards, but has potential to scale super hard with many good synergies.

I am defo gonna try this build. Just got fel infused weapon today so time to prestige. Got seething falmes on arcane explo build it slapped extra good I thing it will benefit this build really good as well.

@Sneptics: Where did you find fel infused weapon skill card? I draw it random but no luck on manastorm to drop from a mob for further playthrough

Unfortunately it doesent have a known/confirmed drop location as of writing this. I personally got it in a lucky card pack. I will send some RNG blessings ur way 😉

Doing manastorm with this build without fel infused weapon is top 3 most painful tortures, it is basically a must have or you'll have a BAD time

Yea, the whole point of the build is to spam on-hit effects with swipe, with fel infused weapon being the main bulk of the damage

Don't forget Feral Quake talent, it deletes groups of mobs before level 55

@@Sneptics_Official so I managed to try going both in and out of cat form with searing pain and the DPS drop isn't worth it. Also I tried a couple of other things like, your idea with mayhem but again for the damage isn't worth it too. So cat + bleeds I think is the way to go

using Goldrinn's fury with Feral instinct Capstone gives you 100% uptimes with a 15% shadow damage increase for fel infused flames damage not to mention the dot you get from it and proccing King of the jungle talent over and over

Im already stacking fire damage, so the shadow damage % increase wouldnt actually do anything (as the spell picks whatever is highest) but the dot damage itself from goldrinn's might be decent extra damage output. I litterally happened to roll Feral instinct's like 20m ago lol. I might get to try out the combo if i can just roll goldrinn's fury

Seething flames is not quite as strong as fel infused weapon, maybe half the damage (which is still pretty good tbh). Goldrinns fury is also very good, there is a talent that reduces tigers fury/goldrinns fury CD when you swipe, so you can have it permanently active

1 thing I noticed that you must spend your marks for rerolls even if dont need to just bcs you get a bunch of skill cards for future builds

Not sure what you mean, you can have the reroll scrolls in your bag without using them. Maybe i dont understand

instead of seal of wisdom you can take seal of command for more damage. Also since you are fire oriented, take battle mage in combination with fire blast. Fire blast is a level 1 and battle mage you get on level 10. you can add fire blast in your startup. I will test this out too with your setup. Great info though, thanks.

Fire blast should take me out of cat form so im not sure about that one. I did actually consider going seal of command, but i wasnt sure if i had to proc the seal for it to do big damage or not (I dont really play paladin). So eventually i ended up with seal of wisdom. But ultimately not a bad suggestion :D

Fire Blast from battlemage is more of just a proc. it doesnt even put fire blast on cooldown. I'm fairly certain it *shouldnt* take you out of cat form. but not 100% sure @@Sneptics_Official

@@Sneptics_Official Well you can proc it with judgement sure, but you can also just use it as a passive for auto attacks if you don't use paladin abilities. The same things apply for seal of command Edit: I see why you went for wisdom

Cat form vs serpent form, what’s best? And what are the main differences

Cat form is just regular old cat form, serpent form gives you a poison dot on enemies that you attack. Aka serpent form is just free real estate, so pick that🫠

Not so far, i usually just use variations of this build to prestige quickly in manastorms, its by far the fastest way for me to prestige solo. I dropped making this build viable as there is just too many other builds i would rather try to make work. I play this and i have almost everything for firecat but i have flame tongue weapon cause i dont have fel infused.. and im thinking fel infused is carrying this build cause im stuck right now at 3k single and 7k aoe with 5 targets.. but im a noob so maybe not doing this right lol

Fel Infused Weapon and Seething flame is the reason this build works yes. Those 2 cards are waaay stronger than they should be atm.

I have seething and its 1st or second in damage constantly.. still trying for fel infused lol.. but i did pick up a pretty cool talent called boomer.. not sure about the damage but having things explode when i hit them is fun lol

It does not proc eachother. Seething flames and fel weapons do not proc ignite at all

Thus making Burnout barely effective on this at all. Fire car is literally just a meme, only the cataclysmic entrance procs good dmg. Fel infused weapons, seething flames etc, basically all spells and abilities which are counted as procs cannot proc anything else. Still any ability that can proc on hit procs is always strong for aoe, like claw, arcane explosion, poison nova, fan of knives etc. That's the AoE meta now, not some enchant like executing disembowel or dreadnaught talents cuz they cannot proc anything

The video is also old m8 lol Also the build wasnt min-maxed at all, it was not meant to show of good damage, it was more so meant as inspiration to people. Obviously if you decide to play it, you will have more damage than me because i didnt invest into the build

Spell = Uses Mana and it has an affect that falls into one of the schools of magic.
