Wow, there is so much insight here. I've never had this key before, to understand the difference between Kings and Chronicles before! I think there's a small error at 25:41 - it was not King Jehoshaphat, but his son Jehoram, who married Athaliah, the daughter of Ahab and Jezebel (2 Chronicles 21:6).
@Xelenteontae_ Жыл бұрын
Yeah but he made an alliance with ahab too and aranged a marriage between his daughter and his own son. 2 Chronicles 18:1: "Now Jehoshaphat had great riches and honor, and he made an alliance with Ahab by marriage." (2 Chronicles 18:1, ESV)

BROTHER YOU ANSWERED MY QUESTION BEFORE I ASKED IT.... SHOULD I READ THIS OR SKIP IT AFTER READING 12 CHAPTERS OF CHRONICAL 1 … I NORMALLY DO SKIM OVER THE GENEOLOGIES … I do very much LOVE the O.T. but know the new testament is most germane to understand for me , I am also glad you commented about much of O.T. being a bit cautionary tale for the new covenant believers...

Some would take issue with the assertion that the Jews never again descended to idolatry; the Kabbalah looks like it to many of us.

It is very kind of you to say that the Jewish people are not idol worshipers any more... but you are sadly mistaken. New Age philosophy, occult practices, humanism, many Eastern religions,the abortion rate (Molech) is high, gay practice acceptable, prostitution is legal... we are still so far from loving the LORD with all our heart and mind and strength. So in need of a revelation of the Messiah Y'shua

The things you listed may be wrong, but they are certainly not idol worship. There may be a few exceptions here and there, but the Jewish people on the whole still abstain from all the biggest pagan festivals (even the most popular one, Christmas and Santa worship).

2:20 incredible breakdown comparison between our Bible & the hebraic texts 9:01 very respectfully disagree here-one of the few times that ever happens. His intrepation is that of Christian zionism. The text states "will forgive their sins" which makes the context transcultural since He's hasn't nor is only forgiving Israel's sins, ie rehab, and since "the earth is the Lord's and the fullness thereof" the context then becomes also translocational as well. 29:01 cites roots; guess Alex haley hadnt admitted yet it was largely created fiction-t. sowell-analogy still fits.

If you look closely the two genealogy that are found in Mathew and Luke they are different at the very end. One is for Joseph and one is for Mary.

What do these men have in common? Jeroboam, Baasha, Ahab, Jehoram, Jehu, and Jehoahaz? They are all Kings of Israel named in Chronicles. David Pawson said no King of Israel is mentioned in Chronicles. Do not get me wrong. I like David Pawson and I have learned much from his ministry. But he makes mistakes. Please read and study the Bible for yourself using David's teaching to help but do not blindly agree with everything he says.

The Jews had things wrong. Daniel is said to be a prophet by Jesus. Yet they classify Daniel as if his writing is not prophetic. All scripture is God breathed according to 2 Tim 3:16-17 and that was referring to all of the OT in the context.
We should be a servant of Jesus not so called royal people!
@garlicgirl31494 жыл бұрын
1 Peter 2:9 "But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light." In just want you to know. I hope this helps you.

Christians are the offspring of God, and the brothers of King Jesus Himself, part of a holy priesthood serving the King. If that doesn't make us royal, I don't know what does!

@@antoinetteambechi2153 absolutely, we are all with mistakes I love Pawson's sermons. I think we should point out errors if we see it. But I love this guy. He is my brother in Christ and that will never change. This is not a judgement. I will not speak ill of a man that God has chosen to lead his flock. Woe on to the one that speaks against the one that God has chosen.. I will not do it.

Instead of telling a man "you're making mistakes", it's much more helpful to tell everyone what you think he got wrong, and why, so we can decide for ourselves.

Haha. Every person I know gets stuck in Leviticus.
@Scripture-Man2 жыл бұрын
I never had a problem with Leviticus when going through the Bible. I adore God's holy rules and find that book fascinating. There are two places in the Bible though where I did struggle: Judges, and 1 Kings. Both these books were a departure from a consistent narrative, with a regular "hero" and "good guys". They were just a catalogue of incidents, mostly unrelated and mostly unfortunate. However, I think I have "unlocked" the secret of enjoying these books now! What you do is you simply make God the "hero" of every story, every book. Then it all works. When you start to realize that all these stories are told from God's perspective, about those who have betrayed Him, and grieved Him, then even when there are no "good guys" in the story, you still know that there's a hero, and the hero is going to win in the end! :-)
