I fully believe that jose would have arranged unfortunate accidents for one or both brothers and that Kitty would have been complicit (and probably relieved) to help cover that up too. The most dangerous time for leaving a domestic violence situation is when you are in the process of/newly left/leaving. He had the money, contacts, motive, social power and outwardly upstanding citizens. He would definitely have offed Lyle maybe hoping that would pull Erik back into line.

I think Lyle and Erik are pretty amazing.Both have managed to choose happiness and a life of meaning. They could have chosen to be deadbeat angry convicts. I like how Lyle is very sure of himself and what happened and why. It would be horrible to keep beating yourself up over something that was really just more than most people could handle. Dr. Conte talked about all the things Lyle did as a child to deal with the stress. Erik has said he would scream and scream in the house when his parents were gone. They both deserve to be free. I personally feel like the state of California should pay them money for the way they were treated.

Gosh, after watching this, I have anxiety.. Lyle going outside, reloading then going back in and firing the fatal shot... Is there a chance the DA etc will release Erik and not Lyle? 😢 That would be so heartbreaking...I guess we'll all know soon, I think a lot of us will be on the edge of our seats come January 30th/31st.
